Day 1 - New Year’s Eve CelebrationThe excitement begins as you board our deluxe motor coach for a memorable New Year’s excursion to Pasadena where you’ll see some of the Rose Parade floats in their final stage of construction. Tradition dictates every inch of these floats must be covered with flowers or other natural materials such as leaves, seeds, and bark. As you marvel at these amazing works of art, remember that the planning for these incredible structures began almost a year ago. You’ll have time to view the decorating process and watch as the finishing touches are applied to these magnificent works of art before we depart for lunch on your own at Live on Green or in Old Pasadena. Next, we check into our hotel accommodations at the beautiful DoubleTree in Claremont before an optional trip to the Graber Olive Packing House, where the world-famous Graber Olives have been grown and produced by the Graber family since 1894. Day 2 - New Year’s Day Rose Parade Breakfast is included at your hotel this morning. Then, celebrate the start of the new year at the 131st world-famous Rose Parade in Pasadena! The 2020 theme, The Power of Hope, celebrates the influence of optimism and hope, the belief that what is wanted can be attained. Enjoy all the sights and sounds of this season’s spectacular event as you watch colorful and animated floats, spirited marching bands, high-stepping equestrian units and celebrities parade in front of you as they make their way down Colorado Boulevard. Your reserved north-facing grandstand seat puts the sun at your back, provides an unobstructed view of the parade and is just a short stroll from our designated motor coach parking. After the parade, enjoy lunch with your fellow travelers at the rustic Clearman’s North Woods Inn restaurant. The restaurant is designed to look like a log cabin complete with snow on the roof and icicles hanging from the eaves. Inside, the lodge-style décor is inviting, fun and casual, right down to the sawdust and peanut shells on the floor. • CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: For reservations not covered by the optional Cancellation Protection Plan, you must cancel your reservation by November 18, 2019 to receive a refund, transfer or credit. A $100 processing fee will be assessed. Unused portions of the tour are non-refundable. If DayTripper Tours cancels the tour you are entitled to a full refund without penalty.
