Bifurcated Fans
Bifurcated Fans are direct driven axial fans where the motor isencased in a metal box to isolate it from the airflow. Thismakes bifurcated fans ideal for exhausting or recirculatingfumes, gases and hot air up to temperatures of 200C instandard form or 300C for 30 minutes and 1 hour for our
emergency high temperature bifurcated range. The motor musthave access to ambient air. The fans have non-overloadingcharacteristics.
Woodcock & Wilson manufacture two types of bifurcated fan, spunbifurcated and fabricated bifurcated. The type of bifurcated fanrefers to the process used in it's manufacture, this does not affectthe fan design or performance but determines the sizes availableand the materials from which the fan can be manufactured.

ATEX ATEX (II 2/3/G/D T1-T6) specification fansavailable for hazardous areas.
Motors In most instances foot mounted T.E.F.C. electricmotors are fitted with metric dimensions toBS3979. The motors are selected to cover the'peak' power absorbed for fan blade pitch angleand speed. Most standard motors have Class Finsulation and are suitable for operating attemperatures of up to 50C (122F). Highertemperatures available if required.
The standard voltages are 220, 220/380, 380,240/415 and 460. Motors can be wound for anyvoltage and frequency and also for dual voltage.The use of standard foot mounted motors of thistype guarantees interchangeability in mostcountries of the world with machines of similar
speed/power.
EExd Zone 1, single phase, 2/3 speed andcompany specification motors can always beobtained.
Impellers:150 1250mmdiameter
Impellers have aerofoil variable pitch Aluminiumblades fitted into a die-cast Aluminium hub.
