How Can I Bid in the 2015 ISPTA Silent Auction?

On the day of the auction, bidding sheets of auction items will be displayed at the auction table. Fill in the details and enter a price that is higher than the previous bid.

Early bidding by e-mail is also available. Send your bid to [email protected] and include in the e-mail your name, phone number, lot number, & the bid offer ofthe item(s) you are interested in. Highest bids will be updated daily on the school website.

Always feel free to make bid again and again and again. That’s the FUN of it!

You are the WINNER if you offer the highest bid by the end of the auction.

Terms and Conditions for the Silent AuctionAny bid placed constitutes acceptance of the Terms and Conditions below:

1. The Silent Auction Items

1.1 The items in this Catalogue are offered for sale in accordance with these terms.

1.2 The catalogue will be revised and updated as and when further items for auction are donated.

The information on each item presented in the Catalogue is correct to the best of our knowledge.

1.3 The successful bidders will be notified by email and/or telephone after the silent auction

closing time.

1.4 The successful bidders must pay for and collect their items on the day of the Silent Auction

or from ISPTA office during office hours on or before 30th November, 2015 (Tues).

1.5 The goods and/or services offered for bidding at this Silent Auction are donated for fundraising

purposes. ISPTA makes no warranty as to the fitness for purpose or merchantability of any of

the goods or services donated and accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the description

of any goods or services or the condition of any item offered for bidding.

1.6 By placing a bid, you release ISPTA and the relevant donor from all liability, claims, loss and

damage however arising as a result of your purchase, use or application of the goods and services.

1.7 ISPTA reserves the right to withdraw any item from sale at any time or to reject any bid.

2. Bidding

2.1 You may submit your bids by email to [email protected] anytime before 12 pm

on 14th November, 2015 (Sat) or in person at the Winter Fair from 12pm to 4 pm on

14th November, 2015 (Sat).

2.2 You may follow the progress of the Silent Auction and check the highest bid update during

11th – 13th November, 2015 from school’s website.

2.3 A bid is your unconditional offer to purchase the item and cannot be retracted after the

conclusion of the Silent Auction.

2.4 You can place multiple bids for multiple items.

2.5 It is the bidder’s responsibility to study the Terms & Conditions, if any, of the items to be bidded on.

2.6 New bids must exceed the previous bid by at least the minimum increment specified.

2.7 The highest bidder at the nominated auction closing time will be the successful purchaser.

2.8 All sales are final and binding. There will be no exchange or refund.

2.9 For any unsold Silent Auction items, ISPTA reserves the right to sell such items at the

minimum bid level on a First-Come-First-Serve basis.

3. Payment

3.1 If you placed the final and successful bid, you must pay the purchase price at the Silent Auction

Counter near the school entrance after the auction closes and official announcement had been

made at the Winter Fair and between 4:30pm and 5:00pm on 14th November, 2015 (Sat).

3.2 If your successful bid was done by email, you must pay the purchase price at ISPTA office during

office hours on or before 18th November, 2015 (Wed).

3.3 Payment can be made in cash or by cheque payable to “Island School PTA Ltd.”

3.4 If you failed to make your payment by 18th November, 2015 (Wed), it is deemed

that you have given up your right to claim the said prize, which will be awarded to

the second highest bidder.

4. Collection of items

4.1 ISPTA will not deliver your purchases. You must collect your purchases from

ISPTA office during office hours by 30th November, 2015 (Tues).

4.2. Items not collected by 30th November, 2015 will be used as Raffle prizes or

for the next Silent Auction.

5. General

5.1 In case of dispute with respect to any process in the Silent Auction, the decision

of ISPTA will be final.
