I. Introduction

This report prepared to present financial evaluation report of the tender

floated for the construction of store and office building in Addis Ababa

Head office compound.

In this report it is tried to evaluate consultants based on documents

submitted by consultants.

II. Invitation to Bid

The bid was processed by inviting Five Consultants which expected

to handle the project.

Bid was opened by tender committee in Addis Ababa Head office of PFSA.

V. Evaluation of Bids

Bid evaluation is conducted for financial parts.

VI. BID AWARD RECOMMENDATIO

a. Bid Process

Tender was processed by inviting five Consultants from Addis Ababa. Five bidders

have collected the tender document and only three of them have submitted their

offer. The bid was opened by the tender opening committee on _August 26, 2009 in

PFSA Head Office Addis Ababa. Offer by each bidder and cost of each bidder after

arithmetic check is as presented in a tabulated form below:-

B. Bid Analysis

As seen from the above table EDIT PLC is the lowest bidder with a total Consultancy

cost of Birr 215,165.00 .(Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand One Hundred

Sixty Five ) inclusive of 15% VAT. In addition most of cost breakdowns quoted

for different work groups found to be reasonable.

The Price quoted by other two consultants found to be very high and also cost break

down found to be unreasonable

EDIT Plc registered as Grade III Consultant and has attached his renewed license for

the year 2001 Ethiopian calendar, registration certificate and Tax payer registration

Certificate.

C.Award Recommendation

In line with the tender Analysis Result and recommendation by Bid opening

Committee It is propose to award the tender to EDIT Plc for a Total Amount ofBirr

215,165.00 (Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand One Hundred Sixty Five )

inclusive of 15% VAT.

The Consultant must be informed to assign qualified Professionals with directexperience of handling projects of similar in nature. Professionals to be assigned for

the project needs to get approval for from the project office after submitting CV of

professionals to PFSA.
