Series Fiction

1. Go to Bibz.com and log-in

For this demo we’ll be working with the “Blockbuster Young Adult January 2014” list. If you don’t see it make sure you’ve selected MCNAUGHTON YA POINT PLAN from the “Product” drop-down.

2. Click on a series link

We’ve sorted the Blockbuster list by demand, so the HOT titles appear first. “Cress” is a part of the “Lunar Chronicles” it’s demand level, print run and audience information are all visible on the Expanded Display.

3. Add all items in the series to list

Your search results will display all available books within the series. The Lunar Chronicles currently has three volumes. Use the universal select and global quantity option to add 1 copy of all the books (unless you want multiple copies then increase it) to your list. Don’t forget to give your list a name. Then hit apply.

You’ll know the selected titles were successfully added to your list 3 ways. 1. Transaction Complete will appear at the top left 2. Your active list will now show the quantity of titles and items that have been added. 3. All the items in series now have a green “L” tile indicating there are duplicates in lists. To complete the purchase go to list view.

4. Purchase list

From the list view of “Jan Series Updates” hit submit to process the order and buy your copies of the Lunar Chronicles.

An Order Confirmation screen will appear after you’re order has been submitted successfully.

Trouble Shooting Issue 1: I don’t see the rest of the series!

From the Blockbuster List I clicked on the series link “Vampire Academy graphic novels” but only got 1 hit. Which is weird because this is clearly the 3rd volume. What went wrong?!?

Your preferences need to be updated to search across ALL McNaughton holdings and not just the current pick lists. 1. Click on the Profile Tab 2. Select User Preferences 3. Under McNaughton Preferences uncheck the box to search only the lists 4. Hit Save

Trouble Shooting Issue 2: Did I already purchase a volume in the series?

If you do a series search and one of the volumes appears with a green “O” tile than this book has already been Ordered. A green “L” would indicate it’s on another list. Since we know “Under the Never Sky” has already been order we only need to buy the other two. Remember Bibz.com only knows your previous purchases under this account. Double check your ILS to ensure you didn’t purchase a previous volume elsewhere.
