Many Centuries later, Maimonides and other Jewish scholars began to notice that the AD 69 date was a fraud and that the Temple was really destroyed in AD 70. They corrected the date.
After many centuries, the Jews forgot when the Sabbatical year was supposed to be.
In order to preserve the Jewish interpretation of Daniel 9, Jews now assume the 7th year falls one year later than the true 7th year.
