Looking ahead to 2016 and our circumstances are changing. This racing season (2015) we, Gordon Bros & Sons raced our OldBirds to our original loft location. The YB team were raced to our new location a couple of miles away. This presented obviouschallenges. In 2016 all of the birds have been moved to the new location to join the YB team. As such there’s obviously goingto be a busy winter/pre-season ahead of us where we need to try to break the Old Bird team to the new location.Circumstances are such that we must reduce numbers and we are offering a unique opportunity here. We’re talking aboutbirds that have WON 1st OPEN EAST DOWN COMBINE, BRED 1st OPEN EAST DOWN COMBINE and veryspectacularly our SIX DIRECT HARDY KRUGERS! None of these were ever owned by anybody else. They came directfrom Hardy and all are proven and only a couple of years old.

Here’s some of our best performances in recent years:

We’d like to offer you the opportunity to read two race reports from recent seasons that feature our lofts and ourperformances. Yes, we did well in these two races too. Our point of showing you these is

a) to check out the kind of birdage that we compete against (it’s pretty competitive)and b) compare the velocities between the two races. We hope to show that our birds are versatile.

In this first example you’ll see that we took the first SIXTEEN places in the Open from Mullingar against3,789 birds. The velocity of the winner was 1222. Note that the wind was ENE.

In this second example we had the first ELEVEN places in the Section (2,185 birds) and in the OPEN wewere 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th,

29th, 30th, 31st, 32nd, 33rd, 34th, 35th, 37th, 38th and 39th Open against 3,297 birds (That’s 30 of the top 40 –our record is 34 of the top 40). Note that on this race the wind was WNW and the velocity was 1713.
