MET Bhujbal Knowledge City

The MET League of Colleges is a conglomerate of premiere educational institutions, driven by a

single-minded focus on imparting quality education to make students sharp. Established in 1989,

with a mission to redefine the system of education, MET is a professionally managed, multi-

disciplinary and multi-faceted oasis of knowledge. The grant of the ISO 9001:2008 certification is

an acknowledgement of the institution's capability to deliver professional education that meets the

highest standards of professionalism worldwide.

SAC (Students’ Association of Computer) SAC – Students’ Association of Computer was an idea, a challenge to create a platform for the

students, by the students and of the students wherein students would come out of the shell to display

their talent, innovation and help them make a cut above the rest.

Established on 25th August 2012, SAC has been creating waves ever since. SAC is committed in

generating, disseminating, and preserving knowledge, and to working with others to bring this

knowledge to bear on the world's great challenges.

SAC in association with CSI Student’s Accredited Wing is dedicated to provide its members with

an education that combines rigorous academic study and the excitement of discovery with the

support and intellectual stimulation of a diverse campus community. We seek to develop in each

member of the SAC the ability and passion to work wisely, creatively, and effectively for the

betterment of humankind.

Functions

Generate awareness about technical know-how & updates on the current technical and

nontechnical scenario.

Conducting various seminars, workshops (in-house faculty as well as industry experts)

throughout the year to enlighten students with the various technologies.

Hosting mega event “METASTORM” which aims at bringing forward various facets of

students’ be it from managing an event, to competing with peers, to marketing oneself in the

industry.

Aggrandize CSR by conducting college level events that aims at helping the less fortunate

Yearly membership of more than 200 students from Computer Engineering Department.

Also work with the CSI (Computer Society of India) Nasik Chapter.

There has been various Technical, Non-Technical, and Cultural Events, workshops, seminars

and CSR activities of which SAC has been an integral part of under the METASTORM event.

Chief guests include technical experts, business tycoons, dignitaries, socialists, businessmen,

high ranking law enforcement personnel, etc.

MET UTSAV 2014

MET’s UTSAV- A College gathering which is among the highest rated cultural event among all the

events of Nashik. Every year we at MET’s BKC, Department of Computer Engineering and

SAC organizes the UTSAV in the month of January for 3 days and there is Grand Finale Night on

4th day where we celebrate the youth’s talent from all the Institutes’ students’. More than 10000

people acknowledges event every year. It truly a gran platform for all the students of all the Institutes

of MET BKC, Nashik-03. In 2014 we had organized it during 21st to 24th January. Every year

UTSAV is sponsored by various Industries and organizations of Nashik like Mahindra &

Mahindra, Honda Two Wheelers, VASAN Eye Care, E&G Green Valley and Resorts and

many more.

Inauguration Ceremony:

UTSAV’14 was inaugurated by Mr. Sarangal , IAS officer formerly Collector Nashik District

on 21st January 2014. On the auspicious occasion of Inauguration Ceremony Mr. Sarangal

addressed the student with the discussion on How Smart Phone are useful as well as dangerous if

we misuse it. The session was really great by which student also got the golden opportunity to have

words with the Mr. Sarangal. The main theme of the UTSAV was VIBGAYOR in hindi means

“Saptarangi”. We celebrated UTSAV with 3 different days as Saptrang Day, Retro Day and

Traditional Day. SAC actively participate in UTSAV with organization and participation in

various events under UTSAV’14. It is another golden opportunity to our students to showcase

and nurture the vital skills like Event Management, Leadership, Coordination, Unity, Stress

Management, Cooperativeness and Marketing etc.

Events & Workshops:

During the UTSAV various events & workshop were organized by all the departments of IOE, IOP,

IOTP and IOM. Our Departmental staff and student has organized following events and also some

of participated in the same.

Paper Craft:

This workshop was about how to make the beautiful thing using paper and how to add decorative

look to our houses, organizations, offices etc. It was held at IOT-P Seminar Hall.

Bottle Art:

This workshop was about the how to make use of bottle to add the art on bottles intelligently. This

was very useful for all the participants which as provided a platform to learn the unique techniques

of drawing the art on bottle.

Neon Light:

Yeah here is the main heartthrob of all the students when it comes to DJ Night. It was organized by

our SAC students in Canteen. An Overwhelmed response we got for this event and students enjoyed

it a lot.

Photography:

This is another workshop among the best workshops organized during UTSAV’14. This has

provided a grand platform for Photography lovers. The eminent personnel from this area has

provided the best knowledge about photography and also addressed the audience with some unique

and incredible techniques to click the awesome moments.

Rock Show:

Again a superb event during UTSAV’14 acknowledged by various students from various institutes

MET BKC. The event was organized by Dept. of Computer Engineering students which has set a

new benchmark in the glory of UTSAV. We had called the local and outer popular band to showcase

their talent and to entertain in real for the audience.

Garba/ Lavani:

This event was organized jointly by all the students of all the departments of Institute of

Engineering. Main aim behind organizing this event was to provide platform for the Garba lovers

to enjoy the Garba and Dandiya to celebrate our UTSAV. This event was addressed by all the people

from all instituted and also various staff and students had participated and enjoyed it also.

Fun Fair:

This was mainly the Fair like area where we can enjoy food on various stalls hosted by students of

all the departments of all Institutes of MET BKC and also can enjoy various small games which

were also hosted on stalls by students. We had also kept the nice prizes for the winners of games.

Almost all the students and staff has enjoyed a lot this event.

Magic Show:

This was the quite different and unique event addressed by huge crowd to enjoy the magic show

with various incredible, surprising techniques of Magic. The show was delivered by one of the

eminent Magician from Nashik. Staff and students has enjoyed it a lot.

Women Self Defense:

This was really most useful workshop particularly for women. Where women staff has learned

various techniques of defensing themselves from various social attacks. They had also learned the

techniques of how to protect themselves from such attacks before they happen.

Staff Entertainment:

This is the main event organized by trust office department exclusively for all the staff of all the

Institutes like Engineering, Pharmacy, Polytechnic and MBA. This is another soft corner for all the

staff members where on this one day every staff enjoy themselves by considering only the family

member of MET BKC and not teacher. So we can say its grand platform for all the teachers to enjoy

and also to showcase their hidden and extracurricular talent.

Staff Entertainment Day Celebration

Grand Cultural Night:

A Grand Finale rather a Grand Cultural Night hosted by MET BKC for all the students and staff to

showcase their cultural talent like Singing, Dancing, Mimicry, Drama, Anchoring, Instrument

Playing etc. On the occasion of UTSAV this grand night is arranged every year on the last day of

UTSAV. This night was acknowledged by various talented, versatile personalities from

Bollywood to name some of them are Mr. Aftab Shivdasani, Mr. Anil Kapoor, Mr. Sonu Nigam,

Miss Prachi Desai, Mr. Irfan Khan, Mr. Sunil Shetty, Mr, Shaknar Mahadevan, Miss Lata

Mageshakar etc. Every year trustees invite such great personalities of Bollywood and that is main

attraction of the cultural night.
