CENTENARY YEAR CONVOCATION

OF BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY

ATTENTION GRADUANDS OF 2015

Dear Alumnus, I have great pleasure in informing you that the Centenary Year Convocation of the Banaras Hindu University, for those who qualified for the degree in the Examination of 2015, is being organized on 22nd February 2016. After the Centenary Year Convocation event, Faculties/Institutes would hold a function (in the afternoon of February 22, 2016 or forenoon of February 23, 2016), wherein degrees will be distributed to the graduands passing out of 2015 Examinations. Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India has very kindly consented to participate in the Centenary Year Convocation and to deliver the Convocation Address. I heartily, congratulate you and cordially invite you to attend the Convocation and participate in the Institute/ Faculty function to receive the degree in person. If you are interested in participating in the above functions, please send your consent by e-mail, in the prescribed

proforma given below, so as to reach the Dean of your Faculty latest by 19th February 2016. Please note that graduand can receive the degree in the function, only if he/she wears the prescribed Academic Costumes as given below:

Graduands have to arrange on their own

Uttaria printed with BHU Emblem and Singh Dwaar (Main Gate)

Yellow Uttaria and Safa will be supplied to the graduands by the Faculty concerned on payment of Rs.163/- (non-refundable) on non-returnable basis (Graduands can keep Uttaria and Safa with them in memory of the Centenary Year Convocation).

Uttaria and Safa will be supplied to the graduands by the Faculty concerned on payment of Rs.163/- (non-refundable) and on non-returnable basis (Graduands can keep Uttaria and Safa with them in memory of the Convocation) 20th and 21st February 2016 on depositing the Academic Robe charges of Rs.163/- (non-refundable). A graduand can receive the degree in the function, only if he/she wears the Academic robes. You are, therefore, requested to send the consent within stipulated date to enable us to make necessary arrangements. It may be mentioned here that in case you are not able to attend the Convocation, your degree will automatically be dispatched by Registered AD post by the Office of the Controller of Examinations after one month of date of Convocation on the address mentioned by you in the Examination form. In case, there is any change in the address, you may inform the Office of the Controller of Examinations accordingly. Thanking you and looking forward to meet you.
