Research is a very important component of Pharmacy education. Pharmacy Industry can develop it-
self if it gets research inputs from Academic and research Institutions. The students also can make a
successful career as researchers. Realizing the significant and strategic place of research in pharmacy
education and industry, we have been making concentrated efforts to promote research activities
since 2000 much before the post graduate programme was introduced in the college. The college
was recognized as a centre for research by the University of Mumbai in 2003. Our laboratories are
designed and equipped keeping in view the needs of high quality research. Consequently, the college
could establish its credential not only as centre of excellent teaching but also as dynamic centre of
research.
Our faculty is genuinely interested in research activities and it is a matter of pride for us to say that
our faculty together have completed several major and minor research projects funded and spon-
sored by such prestigious funding agencies of the Government of India such as DST, AICTE, UGC,
BRNS, LTMT and others.
