We all feel proud to be Indian as a fastest developing Economy of the world. We are the
largest and youngest democracy. The way we are progressing is because of sacrifices
made by millions of freedom fighters, who braced violence peacefully, suffered atrocities
with silent but eloquent bravery and stoically sacrificed their personal gain for the future
generation. We must thank them all for the gift we got from our past few generations,
who martyred themselves so that we have bright future.
In pursuance of the decision to celebrate Independence Day as Independence festival,
Ministry of Human Resource Development planned a series of events in educational
institution across the country. It was decided that the period from 9th August , 2016 to
23rd August 2016 be celebrated as “Azadi 70- Yaad Karo Kurbani” (Freedom
Fortnight) to re-instill the spirit of freedom struggle and national movement among the
younger generation.
Keeping this in mind and as per direction given by Hon. Director Dr. Sachin S Vernekar,
