The day was a platform to showcase the learning of the students in the academic year 2018-19. Students of Grade 1 to Grade 5 showcased their talent by their skill based presentations. Parents were happy to see their children presenting with confidence and poise.

Culmination Day for Grade 1 to Grade 5 was held on April 26, 2019 and April 27, 2019. It was inaugurated by our Principal Ms. Vaishali Parikh.

The entire school was abuzz with the event and was a great success.

Ms. Sunita Patel, Ms, Shruti Rathaur, Ms. Rashmi Roy Chowdhury and Mr. Umesh Sharma attended the workshop that included Guidance, Career counseling, Psychometric tests, Learning disabilities and Learning problems. The speakers of the workshop were Dr V S Ravindran, DG ICTRC, Dr Keshav and Dr Saraswat.

As a part of Teacher's Training Programme, four teachers of our school attended a five-day workshop on Career Guidance and counseling, organised by ICTRC at Bangalore. The workshop was held at YMCA Bangalore from April 26, 2019 to April 30, 2019.

Our pre-primary team conducted a parental curriculum workshop for children of K1 and K2. The teachers explained in brief to parents about the syllabus, teaching methodology and their expectation from the parents.

The curriculum workshop was very helpful in making the parents understand to guide them academically.

Jagannanth Rath Yatra festival is dedicated to Lord Jagannath(Lord Krishna) his sister Goddess Subhadra and his elder brother Lord Balabhadra or Balaram. Rath Yatra is widely celebrated and is one of the biggest festivals of India where millions of devotees arrive and participate in the Rath Yatra processions and seeks blessings of Lord Jagannath.

On this auspicious day Anand Niketan Bhadaj Campus, celebrated Rath Yatra festival in a very unique style on July 4, 2019. Students from Grade- K1 to Grade -10 hauled the decorated Rath with idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balram and Devi Subhadra from school campus and took a round of the nearby areas with chanting of bhajans and songs with music and distributed prashad among the down trodden people of the area. We have been organizing this festivity procession from last two years for the exposure of children towards culture and its religious values and traditions which is one of the important part of their overall development. Entire staff of the school participated in the procession with great enthusiasm along with our Principal Ms. Vaishali Parikh who pulled the Rath by performing all religious ceremony and started the procession. The entire procession also marked one the unique feature of spreading social and environment awareness messages among the people by holding posters and placards in their hands making this day of Lord Jagannath as a medium to spread the same aura.

On the auspicious day of Guru Purnima, on July 16, 2019, to pay our gratitude to the Gurus, we celebrated Guru Purnima. Students conducted a special assembly and presented a very thoughtful and inspiring skit showing the importance of Guru's role in one's life. A very soulful and devoting song was dedicated to all the Gurus by our music teacher creating a blissful environment of the day.

Lastly, the assembly was concluded by a very inspiring speech by our Principal Ms. Vaishali Parikh.

Guru Purnima is a day which is marked by paying respect to the teachers and seek their blessings as Guru holds the most essential position in one's life. Guru is the one who enlightens our mind and soul, removes all the darkness from our lives and shows us the right path and leads towards success.

Red Day Celebration

Parent-Teacher Meet-1

On July 29, 2019, children of K-1 and K-2 celebrated Red Day. Five different types of activities were arranged where they all visited group wise.

Red day corner was decorated outside the class with various red objects. Children played in the sand pit which helped them to enhance their fine and gross motor skills. They also did water splash activity where they learned the concept of float and sink and even played with the kitchen set, learned how to cook food and also had the awareness about the use of kitchen utensils.Art and craft activity related to the red color was also done in the class.

It was really a fun based learning day which they enjoyed a lot.They enjoyed the delicious breakfast of red color which they brought from home and the day was ended with an energetic dance.

The first parent-teacher meet of the academic year 2019 -20 was held on August 3, 2019. Parents from K-1 to Grade 10 visited the school to meet the teachers to know about the progress of their wards.

In order to cultivate and promote reading habit, a book fair was also organized by Scholastic Publications and held simultaneously. The parents sportingly accepted the feedbacks given by the teachers. It was indeed a successful parent-teacher meet.

On August 7, 2019, children of K-1 to Grade 2 visited Super City Township related to the topic of “Houses we live in” and “My Home”. There they visited a fully furnished house with all modern amenities and got cleared with the concept of different rooms, structure and design of the house. They enjoyed a lot and got all the important information and ideas related to their topic.

On August 13, 2019, children of K-1 to Grade-2 celebrated Rakshabandhan. Teachers shared the story related to rakhi and i ts importance. They discussed the importance of love and bond between brother and sister. Handmade beautiful rakhis were tied on toddler's wrists. They all enjoyed it.

The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated in the school campus. Teachers and students came dressed up in tricolors. During the course of day, teachers discussed about the national symbols, national anthem, importance of the tricolor to the students.

The event included cultural programme and Investiture Ceremony for four houses Jal, Agni, Prithvi and Vayu. The Prinicipal Ms. Vaishali Parikh conferred the titles of Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, Vice Captains and Sports Captains of the school.

On 15 August 1947, the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru raised the Indian national flag above the Lahori Gate of the Red Fort in Delhi. Every year, this day is celebrated throughout the country with joy and fervour. The Prime Minister of the country hoists the national flag from the Ramparts of the Red Fort.

The council members were conferred titles followed by oath. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks.

The festival of Janmasthami was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in our school, Anand Niketan Bhadaj Campus. The school was decorated with colourful ribbons and posters of Kanha. Children from K1 to Grade 3 participated actively in the dance. The children dressed themselves as little Krisha and Radha. Our celebration started with aarti and ended with “matki fod” which the audience enjoyed the most. The children danced on some foot tapping numbers and thrilled the audience with their natkhat Krishna dance performances.

On August 30, 2019, children of K-1 and K-2 celebrated Green Day. Different activities were conducted in which children participated group wise.

A story telling corner was well decorated with the jungle theme where children enjoyed stories and rhymes based on animals by wearing different animal costume.

They did “show and tell” activity with different green colour fruits and vegetables and art and craft activities related to green colour. A fun balloon burst game was arranged for them in the garden where they enjoyed a lot.

A dough corner was arranged for them in kitchen station where they made different shaped food items in order to develop their fine motor skills.

It was really an amazing day with lots of enjoyment and fun dance.

Ÿ While for Grade 3 & 4 the story was being discussed among themselves in various groups and illustrated in form of picture. The activity developed into them an insight of creating new stories in groups.

Ÿ On 19th June 2019, we worked on the theme of Family wherein the students explored more about family have shared discussed and wrote on family. The students of Grade 4 even tried to write letters to their beloved family members.

Ÿ On 26th June 2019, the students of Grades 1 to 4 were sitting house wise on the ground floor wherein they did activity of hand imprint with the help of poster colours. The activity was conducted under the supervision of teachers, they really enjoyed doing the same

Ÿ In the month of August we did Scrap book making, Matki decoration activities. The students were very happy to make the scrap book as it was a time to express their views in a holistic approach. The students very beautifully presented their thoughts on a piece of paper.

Ÿ On 22nd June 2019, we did story narrating and illustrating it in form of pictures. Here the teachers for grade 1 & 2 narrated a story taking that story the students tried to illustrate the same in form of picture.

Ÿ Matki decoration was an activity which the students enjoyed thoroughly as it was their creativity which came out in their pots and the best part of doing the activity was they were very happy and excited and we had very creative pots which the students took along with them as a part of CCA activity done in school.

Ÿ In the month of April we had practiced for culmination the practice was conducted every day for an hour and the students wonderfully presented the topics they have studied in the previous year in front of parents on 26th and 27th April respectively.

Ÿ Aerobics session was conducted as part of CCA activity with aim at improving core strength and coordination. Children engaged themselves to the fine tunes of pepping dance numbers and grooved to the music. Their enthusiasm was a treat to watch.

Our Honourable Principal Ms. Vaishali Parikh received Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Award for the year 2019. The felicitation was done by Dr. Anand Agrawal who is the National Director of Avantika with shawl and a certificate.

The Avantika award is bestowed on an individual for his/her exceedingly high level of achievements in Public Life, Social Welfare, Education, Engineering, Music, Art & Culture, Journalism, Medicine and National Security.
