Three easy ways to shrink your garbage!

Use LESS– Reduce the amount you buy! Then you’ll

have less to throw out. – Reduce the amount of packing you use.

Buy in bulk, and use containers at home!

Can you think of examples of REDUCING?

– Buy in bulk: reduce packaging

– Bring your own shopping bags to reduce plastic

– Re-fill containers to reduce your waste

Use something over again

• Find another use for your containers and boxes, old clothes or toys.

• Give them to a friend, or donate them.

Can you think of examples of REUSING?

• Make furniture out of old skis or hockey sticks

• Turn old pants into

shorts

• Make an organizer

out of tin cans

Allow products to be made into something new!

• Collect your recyclables (paper,

cans, bottles, etc.) and have them recycled

• Avoid having products be made brand new - save forests, water and our air.
