Lateral sound insulationLateral sound insulation is the reduction of sound transmission from one space to another, through walls and suspended ceilings. The performance of the ceiling’s sound insulation is expressed by a unique indication: Dnfw measured in laboratory and expressed in dB. A Tonga® Ceiling associated with a Eurocoustic barrier (Acoustipan®) is a performing solution to reduce the problem of noise pollution between 2 spaces.

+ sustainableBETTEREurocoustic places R&D at the center of its development and contributes to sustainable projects adapted to end-user needs. The new Tonga® provides you with even more comfort, safety and performances.
Comfort
Acoustic absorptionPrinciples of sound absorption: the incidental sound energy sustained by walls is split into transmitted, reflective and absorbed energy. According to the nature of the walls of the premises, it is possible to influence the quantity of absorbed and reflected energy. The absorption capacity of a material is estimated with the coefficient of absorption Alpha Sabine by frequency on a scale from 0 to 1 (maximum absorption). The new Tonga® range rating reaches αw1* and provides a better acoustic comfort.*E-edge = αw=0.95

Additional natural light input
Thanks to their high light reflection rating, Eurocoustic ceilings diffuse the natural light they receive and therefore contribute to the natural light input. The average daylight quotient can be increased by 6%*.The colorimetric index (L. a. b) of Tonga® is the closest to pure white which improves the quality of the diffused light. That index represents the brightness (in %, from 0 for black to 100 for white); a and b represent 2 colours spectrum going respectively from green to red and blue to yellow with values in the -120 / +120 range.*Value based on the study of a typical 20 m2 office space.
Thermal

Lighting
By reinforcing natural light, Tonga® ceilings reduce by 11%* artificial lighting needs and thus participate in energy saving on lighting.*Value based on the study of a typical 20 m2 office space.
Sustainable
Health and environment Eurocoustic stone wool panels do not contain any material classified as carcinogenic (European Regulation 1272/2008 modified through European Regulation (790/2009). According to the International Agency for Research on Cancer, stone wool cannot be classified as regards its carcinogenicity to humans (group 3).
Indoor Air Quality
The new Tonga® A is the first ceiling range with an A+ French sanitary classification for Indoor Air Quality, which is the best classification available.
The new Tonga® A ceiling range is certified M1 class by the Finnish Indoor Air Climate Label.
