Conclusions

• Magneto-optics are important to integrated photonics.

YIG: secondary phases & temperature limiting. MgO buffer layers and SiO2 claddings successful.

SmCo permanent magnets are well developed.

Photonic Crystals structures simulated and

fabrication is begun.
