In compiling the data for this “Best Text” dialogue book, we conducted a poll of the country’s top team leaders, agents and brokers to uncover the text messaging techniques that have served them best. While every agent and broker has their own method of introducing themselves to a potential client, there are some interesting trends that help secure and convert business.

First impressions count. A majority of clients are won or lost based on the strength of first contact. The standard approach that a number of agents and brokers take when contacting new clients for the first time is to establish themselves as the market and industry expert. This secures the trust of new clients and opens the door for additional questions and further engagement.

I usually provide some general info depending on the situation ‐ if they’re looking to sell, I provide some data about recent sales trends in the area to show that I’m already familiar with and knowledgeable about their situation. I also provide material that we have ready about our company specifics. I try to make the connection as personal as possible.
