Best of the Best Sales Contest

? EOPLE OF SHA\ry NEWSPAPERS ,4ae t6,e Seot? This is the question I posed to our entire Shaw multi-media sales force the last couple weeks of September as I took to the road and presented a "Best of the Best Sales Contest" for the months of October and November. The sales contest split the teams into East and West, with the NWNG properties "Team East" and the Community Group properties "Team West." Monthly prizes were awarded in each team "Best of the East" and "Best of the West" but only one would receive the title... "Best of the Best." The sales contest was designed to generate New Business while continuing to maintain and grow current business in the territories. Six outstanding sales associates steppedup to the challenge and qualified forthe $1500 Grand Prize. The final match came down to Jennifer Flory - Kane County Chronicle, Geneva, Illinois and Pam DeBruyn - News Printing Company, Newton, Iowa. Both contenders demonstrated they possessed the skills, talent and enthusiasm to accomplish the big win, but in the end there could be only one winner, and with a four point lead a unanimous decision gave Jennifer Flory the win with 189 points. At right Jennifer and Pam fight it out to the finish with Pam stating, 'Just wait until next time" and Jennifer replying, "Bring it on."
