Early years
Jaromir Jagr was born February 15, 1972 in Kladno,
CzechSlovakia. Where he lived on a farm with his parents
and his sister, Jikita until he was 18 years old. Jagr comes
from a line of Jaromir’s from his grandfather and father.
Jaromir’s friend has spoken: “Kladno had Jagr and this other
kid. They were just dominating. It was always a big thing
when we played them. Because our team was really good,
and with Kladno it was sort of a showdown against two
individual guys. It was always intense.” He has spoken. His
ad owns a farm. Which was 8 to 10 kilometers from home.
So his dad took a bike, and Jaromir ran. That’s a lot of
running!
When he was drafted fifth overall in the 1990 draft, he went

Wayne Gretzky
Did you know that Wayne Gretzky has broke 60 NHL records!? That is crazy!
Quick Fact
Wayne’s father has always told his son the famous saying “go where the puck is going, not where it’s been.”
Early years
Wayne Gretzky was born on January 26, 1960 in Brantford, Ontario. Where
Walter (his father) worked for Bell telephone Canada. The family moved into a
house on Varadi avenue seven months after Wayne was born. Chosen partly
for in the winter they could make an ice rink on their nice flat yard.
Wayne was joined by a sister Kim (B.1963), and brothers Keith, Glen and
Brent. The family would regulary visit Tony and Mary’s farm. (Wayne’s
grandparents) and watch “hockey night in Canada” together. By age two,
Wayne was trying to score goals on Mary with a souvenir hockey stick. The
farm was where Wayne first skated. Two years and ten months
Walter taught Wayne, Keith, Glen and their friend’s hockey on a rink he made
in the back yard of the family home. Nicknamed the “Wally Coliseum.” Drills
included skating around Javex bleach bottles and tin cans. Also flipping pucks
over scattered hockey sticks to be able to “skate where the puck is going, not
where the puck has been.” Wayne was a classic prodigy whose extraordinary
skills made him the target of jealous parents.
