    Claymore

Do you think you would be capable to wield such a massive blade like the claymore?

    The Expert Says…

Early claymores featured a small cross hilt so they could deflect small blows easier.

    Crafting

The claymore was a marvel of

weaponry for the Scotts, due to the

    high carbon content these blades

were less likely to shatter when

    parried. The base materials that

would have been included were: soft

iron mined from the hills, silver or

    gold shipped from places farther

south. And fine leather from a bulls

back for wrapping the hilts to avoid

    bruises on the hard metal.

    Wielding

To wield such a massive weapon one

had to receive special training from

someone skilled enough to teach them.

    The basics would surely include

    sharpening and polishing the blades

flat edge. Squires learning to use

claymores would be the strongest of

    the children in the clan.

    Appearances

The claymore and its variants appear in

for honor as a main weapon for most

    of: the Legion.

  • Spanish Rapier

Weight: 2.2 lbs Length: 4.1 in Blade type: spoke/needle Hilt type: Cross, thin link

Speed… Speed is key! The rapier is one of the

fastest paced swords in the medieval world,

sure you have your slow heavy blades but the

rapier is no ordinary sword. So once you have

your fill of this great intro teaser, turn the

    page!

  • Rapier

Early rapiers were so thin blunt impacts would often shatter the blade into several pieces.

    Quick Fact

    Crafting

The rapier has a delicate design, to

create one you would require: two to

three ingots of fine low carbon steel,

hide from a boar stained with blood

from a bull. To finish the creation

process the blade must be soaked in

the blood of a human. Creepy right?

Well they did this in hopes that

demonic spirits would be drawn to

    the blade and its victims.

    Wielding

The rapier is a light weight weapon

    based on a sewing needle…. that’s right

a sewing needle, this was for stabbing

foes. Now to use this form of weapon

you would not require brute strength

but instead delicacy and precision. The

trainees that use rapiers are capable of

    using them in self-defense.

    Appearances

The Rapier is the only weapon on this

list not to appear in the new game

    Ubisoft’s ForHonor, however it does

appear in the popular anime Sword art

    online

  • Kunai

Weight: 3-4 Lbs Legth: 2-3 in Blade type: Cross, Spear, toothed, and hook Hilt type: looped, spike

Who needs unwieldy sword when you have a

weapon so deadly the Chinese feared it? Well

today I will introduce you to the world’s most

stealthy dagger! The kunai is a speedy weapon

fit to slay foes in droves.

    3

  • Kunai

    Crafting

The kunai was originally made from a

masonry trowel and then evolved into

the throwing dagger you see now. The

entire weapon was made of soft iron,

which meant it had a low carbon

content. The hilts were wrapped in

    horse leather to prevent slippage.

    Wielding

To wield such a deadly weapon was

easy, to use it properly was entirely

different, the kunai could be attached

to ropes to make basic grappling hooks,

or they could be thrown like a knife.

    Appearances

The kunai is featured in Ubisofts for

honor, of which you can use the

weapon as a samurai called Oni. It also

appears in countless manga and anime.

  • Katana

Weight: 1.1-1.3 lbs Length: 60-73 cm Bladetype: Curved, slender, single edged Hilttype: Two handed, swept, square guard

The Katana! The weapon of fear and fury, this

weapon comes in at number two for its

lightning fast attacks and deflection skills. The

warriors who wielded these slaying machines

were the best in the world. It’s a shame their

    all gone…

    2

  • Katana

Before the katana the Japanese had straight blades called Chokuto.

    Quick Fact The Expert Says…

The katana was the most lethal weapon that dominated the Asian battle field.

    Crafting

    The Katana Was forged using

tangamine sand steel, this was a

    crumbly corroded ore found under

beaches and deserts. The blades were

often forged into bars and the bars

were folded over each other at least

three thousand times to make the

    blade incredibly strong

    Wielding

In ancient times to wield the katana

you would need extensive training, and

law would require you to become a

samurai warrior. Now you can go to

    some shady pawnshop and purchase

the lethal weapon. But you would still

require proper training to maser the

    arts of the katana.

    Appearances

The katana is a popular weapon in some manga

and anime, it is also a main weapon of the for

    honor group: The chosen

  • Dane axe

Weight: 8-12 lbs Length: 1-1/2 meters Blade type: Single edged

Get ready for the number one medieval

weapon… The Dane axe! The weapon of

ultimate fury and rage, the Vikings signature,

the most brutal of battle field weapons. The

Dane axe was probably the most fearsome of

weapons in Europe during the medieval age.

    1

  • Dane axe

The earliest of Dane axes were made of pig iron.

    Quick Fact The Expert Says…

Shear strength was required to use the Dane axe as it was extremely heavy.

    Crafting

The ancient Dane axe was produced

via a large quantity of pig iron that

was forged into multiple weapons for

the entire clan troops. Dane axes

would later be forged with both pig

iron and steel for extra strength.

    Wielding

Dane axes were given to young boys as

gifts so they would train with them

    until adulthood, when they reached

the age of fourteen they would

become an adult and venture out to

    raid villages and cities.

    Appearances

The Dane axe is the main weapon of

the group: The War Born This is a group

of genuine savage Vikings that are so

brutal it makes them like gods of chaos.

They are featured in For Honor.

Here are others to consider: The Mancatcher, The Forcaster, And the Cutlass , Should they have made my list? Are there others that should be considered?
