According to the Global Wellness Institute, the global wellness industry grew 10.6% from 2013-2015: from a $3.36 trillion to $3.72 trillion market.

Global wellness tourism revenues grew from $494.1 billion in 2013 to $563.2 billion in 2015 – or 14%. A growth rate more than twice as fast as overall tourism expenditures (6.9%).

The wellness factor that saw the most significant growth since 2010 is the Healthy eating, nutrition and weight loss (108 percent increase to $276.5 billion)*.

Therefore, we have realised that the health and wellness travel segment is growing immensely, creating a market for hotels that cater to the health-conscious guest.Mrs. Dia Capsis (President & Marketing Director of the company) decided to invest on this sector by advocating a wellbeing culture throughout the entire hotel operation. In addition to an already existing holistic medical - wellness concept (anti-ageing treatments, Dukan diet, yoga retreat & nutrition program and customized nutrition) she takes one step further and in 2017 she launches the Detox 5+™, a totally redesigned and unique intelligent Mediterranean detoxification program. That consists of a series of scientific nutritional, mental and physical sessions and experiences.

Market Analysis

The Detox 5+™ is a new investment in a unique program, implemented for the first time in May 2017, therefore we did not include in the expenses the medical equipment cost (€65.000). This expenditure will be distributed throughout the whole period of the program’s operation.

Although, it was the 1st year of operation, from the figures below it is transparent that we succeeded to break-even during the month of July.

Our estimation for the following years is that the ROI of this program will be very profitable.
