Best Home-Style Food in Mission Viejo With all the craziness in our everyday lives, finding time to make a home cooked meal can be downright impossible. This is especially true once our children have taken over our “free” time with their myriad of school, social and athletic activities. Because we must eat, more families are turning to fast food for its convenience and price, but what if you just can’t take one more greasy French fry? If you are in the Mission Viejo or Ladera Ranch area, you have affordable and delicious options when you want a home-style meal. Here are a few of my favorites: Corky’s Homestyle Kitchen and Bakery Stack’s Pancake House The Broken Yolk Corky's Homestyle Kitchen and Bakery is worth talking about. This Ladera Ranch favorite serves up delicious home-style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 24 hours a day. Whether you are craving blueberry pancakes and an omelet, tender turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy or a lighter dish such as a fresh and healthy salad, Corky’s can calm your cravings with a delightful array of dishes. Have a sweet tooth? Get your fix with a homemade Snicker Bar Pie - just one of the many pies available. If pie isn’t your thing, try the cinnamon rolls, cookies, cheesecakes or brownies. They are all superb. Corky’s variety of delicious and home-style food options is undoubtedly a key reason customers keep coming back to Corky’s, but also worth noting is their friendly staff, welcoming environment and oversized portions. If you walk away from Corky’s hungry, you just might be the first. Corky’s is located at 27522 Antonio Pkwy #P-1, Ladera Ranch, CA 92694.

Stack’s Pancake House offers a melting pot of food options from Hawaiian Loco Moco, Korean Kalbi ribs, Japanese fried rice omelets, French crepes to Eggs Benedict. If you have a large taste palate, Stack’s is a wonderful place to explore twists on many traditional meals – such as their banana macadamia nut pancakes

made with coconut syrup or their popular Captain Crunch French toast. Unlike Corky’s, Stacks is only open until from 6am-2pm daily, so get in there while you can and enjoy some of the most unique home-style meals in South County. Stack’s Pancake House is located at 27680 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo, CA 92692. When you want a home-style meal, what do you crave - traditional American fares or maybe home-style for you includes an assortment of plates from South of the Border? The Broken Yolk Café serves up some of the most savory breakfast foods in the area. Huevos Con Chorizo is one of my favorite plates but Betty’s Southern Biscuits and Gravy and the Egg’s Benedict are equally delicious. If you aren’t looking for breakfast food, do not fret. The Broken Yolk’s menu also includes a variety of burger, salad and sandwich options. The Broken Yolk Café is located at 28621 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo, CA 92692 and is open from 6am-3pm daily. Where do you go when you want a home-style meal?
