Tapanappa – perfect for your Christmas gifts.Tapanappa is an Australian fine wine company founded by Petaluma founder, Brian

Croser, focusing on cool climate single vineyard wines. All Tapanappa wines come in the unique gift boxes, perfect for the gift giving season.

2010 Tapanappa Tiers Chardonnay is a very typical wine of the Tiers Vineyard from a warm vintage. The varietal aromas are ripe peach and melon. Subtle marzipan and brioche aromas and flavours are contributed by the malo-lactic, yeast lees contact and oak.

$75.00

2010 Tapanappa Foggy Hill Pinot Noir is of medium colour intensity and is cerise in hue. The aroma of 2010 Foggy Hill Pinot Noir is of ripe fruit Pinot Noir without any hint of greener char-acters. Rich aromas of blackberry conserve with hints of rose and anise provide the fruit core with added complexity of earth and coffee. Despite its ripeness, 2010 Foggy Hill Pinot Noir retains the ethereal qualities attributable to the cool maritime terroir.

$45.00

2008 Tapanappa Whalebone Vineyard Shiraz Cabernet is the product of a warm, ripe vintage. The ripe blackberry and anise of the Shiraz dominates the aroma although the under-lying cassis and herbal spice of the Cabernet Sauvignon add complexity and finesse. As usual, the terroir imprint of Whalebone Vineyard expresses as a smoky Eucalypt and fresh earth aro-mas. This is a ripe and highly structured wine, the sweet fruit middle being offset by long and persistent tannins, which contribute a savory balance to this traditional Australian blend. $70.00

2010 Tapanappa Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay has ripe peach flavours and aromas. Because of the warm vintage there are no melon skin nuances as there are in cooler years in the Piccadilly Valley and the fruit is completely ripe. Despite the warm year, the structure of Tapanappa Piccadil-ly Valley Chardonnay is typically savoury with a moderate alcohol and refreshing acid finish to a significant mouth feel and viscosity, the hallmarks of Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay. $35.00

2010 Tapanappa Fleurieu Peninsula Pinot Noir is the product of a warm vintage in a very cool site. The fruit is very ripe and plummy but with the nuances of the exotic spices and florals which make Pinot’s elusive “peacock’s tail”. The palate is fruit sweet but with a definite but silky tan-nin structure, always retaining the delicacy and elegance, which is the hallmark of this fastidious variety. $29.99

2007 Tapanappa Wrattonbully Cabernet Shiraz has the very ripe fruit flavours and texture of this exceptionally small and early vintage. Despite the ripeness the alcohol is in balance and the silky ripe tannins meld with the ripe fruit flavours. The 2007 Tapanappa Cabernet Shiraz retains the elegant structure and the earthy, anise and Eucalypt smoke flavours of the Joanna, Wrattonbully terroir.

Voyager Estate’s winemakers take a holistic approach to winemaking in order to maintain a natural balance in their ecosystem. They use very high quality, predominantly tight-grained French oak and re-train the amount of new wood. The aim is for the oak to offer structure and complexity to the wine and support the full expression of the vineyard site, rather than assert its own characteristics in the wine.

By using ‘minimal input’ methods such as organically certified composts, organic soil conditioners and seaweed extracts, and avoiding synthetic fertilisers, they are able to nurture their soils and ensure that the vineyard blocks will continue to be the perfect home to the vines well into the future. Voyager Es-tate is certified by EntWine Australia, which recognises sustainable practices throughout the vineyard and winery.

*For every 2dozen Voyager wines purchased receive a Plumm 2 red wine glass bottle pack RRP $55.00

Grower Champagne CollectionWhat is Grower Champagne? Grower champagne (Small-Scale Producers) in essence comes from small, family-owned champagne houses that produce their champagnes from their own vineyards. These are the families that farm the vineyards year round, while larger champagne houses may not actually own any vineyards & simply source grapes from as many as 80 different vineyards. Grower champagnes tend to be more terroir-focused & quality driven, being sourced from a single or closely located, vineyard around the same village.

Grower champagne, on the other hand, results in a taste that is different and unique, like the grower’s per-sonality. Many of them focus of using organic & biodynamic practices in their vineyards. They manage their vineyards intensively in order to get smaller yields, resulting in better quality fruit, they age their wines for extended time on yeast lees to develop finesse, complexity and layers of flavours. The result is that we end up with a much more interesting & complex style of Champagne & very reasonable prices.
