    BACK in eternity, when the UniversalFather's "first" infinite and absolute thought finds inthe Eternal Son such a perfect and adequate word for its divine expression, there ensues the supreme desire

    of both the Thought-God and the Word-God for auniversal and infinite agent of mutual expression andcombined action.

    In the dawn of eternity both the Father and theSon become infinitely cognizant of their mutualinterdependence, their eternal and absolute oneness;and therefore do they enter into an infinite andeverlasting covenant of divine partnership. This never-ending compact is made for the execution of their united concepts throughout all of the circle of eternity;and ever since this eternity event the Father and theSon continue in this divine union.

    We are now face to face with the eternityorigin of the Infinite Spirit, the Third Person of Deity.The very instant that God the Father and God the Sonconjointly conceive an identical and infinite action--theexecution of an absolute thought-plan--that verymoment, the Infinite Spirit springs full-fledgedly intoexistence.

    In thus reciting the order of the origin of theDeities, I do so merely to enable you to think of their relationship. In reality they are all three existent frometernity; they are existential. They are without beginning or ending of days; they are co-ordinate,supreme, ultimate, absolute, and infinite. They are andalways have been and ever shall be. And they are threedistinctly individualized but eternally associated persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God theSpirit

    1. THE GOD OF ACTION

    In the eternity of the past, upon the personalization of the Infinite Spirit the divine personality cycle becomes perfect and complete. TheGod of Action is existent, and the vast stage of space isset for the stupendous drama of creation--the universaladventure--the divine panorama of the eternal ages.

    The first act of the Infinite Spirit is theinspection and recognition of his divine parents, theFather-Father and the Mother-Son. He, the Spirit,unqualifiedly identifies both of them. He is fullycognizant of their separate personalities and infiniteattributes as well as of their combined nature andunited function. Next, voluntarily, with transcendentwillingness and inspiring spontaneity, the Third Personof Deity, notwithstanding his equality with the Firstand Second Persons, pledges eternal loyalty to God the

    Kad govorim o redu porijekla Boanstava, jedino vam elim pomoi da razumijete njihov odnos.U stvarnosti, sve tri osobe postoje od vjenosti; one suegzistencijalne. One nemaju poetka niti svretka; onesu uzajamno jednake, vrhovne, ultimne, apsolutne i beskonane. One jesu, uvijek su bile i uvijek e biti. Ione predstavljaju tri pojedinano i zasebnoindividualizirane premda vjeno povezane osobe--Boga Oca, Boga Sina i Boga Duha.

    1. BOG DJELOVANJA

    U vjenosti prolosti, boanski ciklus linosti postaje savren i cjelovit pri personifikacijiBeskonanog Duha. Bog Djelovanja stjeeegzistenciju i prostrana scena prostora je pripremljenaza velianstvenu dramu stvaranja--kozmiku pustolovinu--boansku panoramu vjenih doba.

    Father and acknowledges everlasting dependence uponGod the Son.

    Inherent in the nature of this transaction andin mutual recognition of the personality independenceof each and the executive union of all three, the cycleof eternity is established. The Paradise Trinity is

    existent. The stage of universal space is set for themanifold and never-ending panorama of the creativeunfolding of the purpose of the Universal Father through the personality of the Eternal Son and by theexecution of the God of Action, the executive agencyfor the reality performances of the Father-Son creator partnership.

    The God of Action functions and the deadvaults of space are astir. One billion perfect spheresflash into existence. Prior to this hypothetical eternitymoment the space-energies inherent in Paradise areexistent and potentially operative, but they have noactuality of being; neither can physical gravity bemeasured except by the reaction of material realities toits incessant pull. There is no material universe at this(assumed) eternally distant moment, but the veryinstant that one billion worlds materialize, there is inevidence gravity sufficient and adequate to hold themin the everlasting grasp of Paradise.

    There now flashes through the creation of theGods the second form of energy, and this outflowingspirit is instantly grasped by the spiritual gravity of theEternal Son. Thus the twofold gravity-embraceduniverse is touched with the energy of infinity andimmersed in the spirit of divinity. In this way is thesoil of life prepared for the consciousness of mindmade manifest in the associated intelligence circuits of the Infinite Spirit.

    Upon these seeds of potential existence,diffused throughout the central creation of the Gods,the Father acts, and creature personality appears. Thendoes the presence of the Paradise Deities fill allorganized space and begin effectively to draw allthings and beings Paradiseward.

    The Infinite Spirit eternalizes concurrentlywith the birth of the Havona worlds, this centraluniverse being created by him and with him and in himin obedience to the combined concepts and united willsof the Father and the Son. The Third Person deitizes by this very act of conjoint creation, and he thusforever becomes the Conjoint Creator.

    These are the grand and awful times of thecreative expansion of the Father and the Son by, and in,the action of their conjoint associate and exclusiveexecutive, the Third Source and Center. There existsno record of these stirring times. We have only themeager disclosures of the Infinite Spirit to substantiatethese mighty transactions, and he merely verifies the

    Bog Djelovanja stupa u akciju i ovo pokreemrtve komore prostora. Iznenada se stvara bilijunsavrenih planeta. Dok prije ovog teoretskogasavjenosti prostorne energije Raja postoje i djeluju potencijalno, one nemaju aktualnosti postojanja; niti jeu ovomasu mogue mjeriti silu gravitacije izuzev prema reakcijama materijalnih stvarnosti na njenostalno privlano djelovanje.     Stvaralakiminom Bogova iznenada postajedrugi oblik energije i ovaj izliveni duh smjesta dolazi pod kontrolu duhovne gravitacije Vjenog Sina. Takonakon uvrenja dvostrukim djelovanjem gravitacije,svemir poprima dodir energije beskonanosti kao i valduha boanstvenosti. Ovim se priprema tlo ivota za pojavu umne svijesti koja se ispoljava u krugovimainteligencije Beskonanog Duha.

    Kad su irom centralne tvorevine Bogova posiju ova sjemena potencijalne egzistencije, kaorezultat Oevogina javlja se linost stvorenih bia.Zatim se cijelim organiziranim prostorom iri prisutnost Rajskih Boanstava koja djelotvorno poinje privlaiti sve stvari i bia prema Raju.

    Beskonani Duh postaje vjean istodobno s pojavom Havone--centralnog svemira koji je stvoren sBeskonanim Duhom i od istog--i to u skladu sazajednikom idejom sjedinjenih volja Oca i Sina.Trea Osoba se poboanstvljuje samim oviminomzdruenog stvaranja i tako zauvijek postaje ZdrueniStvoritelj.

    Ovo su velianstvena i stravina vremenastvaralakog proirenja Oca i Sina koja su sprovedenakroz djelovanje i u okviru njihovog zajednikogsuradnika i najvieg izvritelja, Treeg Izvora i Centra. Ne postoji zapis o ovim burnim vremenima. Nali smo jedino oskudnu zabiljeku Beskonanog Duha o ovimznamenitim dogaajima i on jedino

    fact that the central universe and all that pertainsthereto eternalized simultaneously with his attainmentof personality and conscious existence.

    In brief, the Infinite Spirit testifies that, sincehe is eternal, so also is the central universe eternal.And this is the traditional starting point of the history

    of the universe of universes. Absolutely nothing isknown, and no records are in existence, regarding anyevent or transaction prior to this stupendous eruptionof creative energy and administrative wisdom thatcrystallized the vast universe which exists, and soexquisitely functions, at the center of all things.Beyond this event lie the unsearchable transactions of eternity and the depths of infinity--absolute mystery.

    And we thus portray the sequential origin of the Third Source and Center as an interpretativecondescension to the time-bound and space-conditioned mind of mortal creatures. The mind of man must have a starting point for the visualization of universe history, and I have been directed to providethis technique of approach to the historic concept of eternity. In the material mind, consistency demands aFirst Cause; therefore do we postulate the UniversalFather as the First Source and the Absolute Center of all creation, at the same time instructing all creatureminds that the Son and the Spirit are coeternal with theFather in all phases of universe history and in allrealms of creative activity. And we do this without inany sense being disregardful of the reality and eternityof the Isle of Paradise and of the Unqualified,Universal, and Deity Absolutes.

    It is enough of a reach of the material mind of the children of time to conceive of the Father ineternity. We know that any child can best relatehimself to reality by first mastering the relationships of the child-parent situation and then by enlarging thisconcept to embrace the family as a whole.Subsequently the growing mind of the child will beable to adjust to the concept of family relations, torelationships of the community, the race, and the world,and then to those of the universe, the superuniverse,even the universe of universes.

    2. NATURE OF THE INFINITE SPIRIT

    The Conjoint Creator is from eternity and iswholly and without qualification one with theUniversal Father and the Eternal Son. The InfiniteSpirit reflects in perfection not only the nature of theParadise Father but also the nature of the Original Son.

    The Third Source and Center is known bynumerous titles: the Universal Spirit, the SupremeGuide, the Conjoint Creator, the Divine Executive, theInfinite Mind, the Spirit of Spirits, the Paradise Mother Spirit, the Conjoint Actor, the Final Co-ordinator, theOmnipresent Spirit, the Absolute Intelligence, the

Ovomdogaaju prethode jedino nedokuivi dogaajivjenosti i dubine beskonanosti koji su apsolutnatajna.

Imi tako ni u najmanjoj mjeri ne zanemarujemostvarnost i vjenost Rajskog Otoka i Neogranienog,Univerzalnog i Boanskog Apsoluta.

Djetetov um u razvoju poslije togamora biti u stanju da se prilagodi konceptu obiteljskihodnosa, odnosa ire sredine, rase i svijeta, a zatim iodnosa svemira, nadsvemira, paak i svemira nadsvemirima.

    3. PRIRODA BESKONA NOG DUHA

    Zdrueni Stvoritelj potjee iz vjenosti i on je potpuno i bezuvjetno sjedinjen s Ocem Svih i VjenimSinom. Beskonani Duh savreno odraava ne samo prirodu Rajskog Oca ve i prirodu Izvornog Sina.

    Trei Izvor i Centar je poznat po mnogimimenima: Univerzalni Duh, Vrhovni Vodi, ZdrueniStvoritelj, Boanski Izvritelj, Beskonani Um, DuhDuhova, Rajski Duh Majke, Zdrueniinitelj, NajviiKoordinator, Sveprisutni Duh, Apsolutna Inteligencija,

    Divine Action; and on Urantia he is sometimesconfused with the cosmic mind.

    It is altogether proper to denominate the ThirdPerson of Deity the Infinite Spirit, for God is spirit.But material creatures who tend towards the error of viewing matter as basic reality and mind, together with

    spirit, as postulates rooted in matter, would better comprehend the Third Source and Center if he werecalled the Infinite Reality, the Universal Organizer, or the Personality Co-ordinator.

    The Infinite Spirit, as a universe revelation of divinity, is unsearchable and utterly beyond humancomprehension. To sense the absoluteness of the Spirit,you need only contemplate the infinity of the UniversalFather and stand in awe of the eternity of the OriginalSon.

    There is mystery indeed in the person of theInfinite Spirit but not so much as in the Father and theSon. Of all aspects of the Father's nature, the ConjointCreator most strikingly discloses his infinity. Even if the master universe eventually expands to infinity, thespirit presence, energy control, and mind potential of the Conjoint Actor will be found adequate to meet thedemands of such a limitless creation.

    Though in every way sharing the perfection,the righteousness, and the love of the Universal Father,the Infinite Spirit inclines towards the mercy attributesof the Eternal Son, thus becoming the mercy minister of the Paradise Deities to the grand universe. Ever andalways--universally and eternally--the Spirit is a mercyminister, for, as the divine Sons reveal the love of God,so the divine Spirit depicts the mercy of God.

    It is not possible that the Spirit could havemore of goodness than the Father since all goodnesstakes origin in the Father, but in the acts of the Spiritwe can the better comprehend such goodness. TheFather's faithfulness and the Son's constancy are madevery real to the spirit beings and the material creaturesof the spheres by the loving ministry and ceaselessservice of the personalities of the Infinite Spirit.

    The Conjoint Creator inherits all the Father's beauty of thought and character of truth. And thesesublime traits of divinity are co-ordinated in the near-supreme levels of the cosmic mind in subordination tothe infinite and eternal wisdom of the unconditionedand limitless mind of the Third Source and Center.

    3. RELATION OF THE SPIRIT TO THEFATHER AND THE SON

    As the Eternal Son is the word expression of the "first" absolute and infinite thought of theUniversal Father, so the Conjoint Actor is the perfectexecution of the "first" completed creative concept or

    Osoba Beskonanog Duha je uistinutajanstvena, no ne onoliko koliko su Otac i Sintajanstveni. Od svih aspekata Oeve prirode, ZdrueniStvoritelj najizraajnije obznanjuje njegovu beskonanost.     Premda na svaki nain dijeli savrenstvo,ispravnost i ljubav Oca Svih, Beskonani Duh vienaginje osobinama milosti Vjenog Sina, to gainimilostivim sluiteljem velikog svemira koji djeluje uime Rajskih Boanstava. Zauvijek i zasvagda--univerzalno i vjeno--Duh je sluitelj milosti, jer kaoto boanski Sin obznanjuje Boju ljubav, boanskiDuh tako prikazuje Boju milost.

    Kako sva dobrota potjee od Oca, nijemogue da bi Duh mogao imati vie dobrote nego Otac,ali ovu dobrotu lake moemo razumjeti u djelimaDuha. Na osnovu njene i ustrajne slube koju izvodelinosti Beskonanog Duha, kako bia duha tako imaterijalna stvorena bia planeta, mogu doivjetiistinsku stvarnost Oeve vjernosti i Sinove postojanosti.

    Zdrueniinitelj je naslijedio svu Oevuljepotu misli i karakter istine. I ova su vrhunskasvojstva boanstvenosti usklaena u priblinovrhovnim razinama kozmikog uma koji je podreen beskonanoj i vjenoj mudrosti bezuvjetnog i bezgraninog uma Treeg Izvora i Centra.

    3. ODNOS DUHA PREMA OCU I SINU

    Upravo kao to Vjeni Sin predstavlja rijeniizraz "prve" apsolutne i beskonane misli Oca Svih,Zdrueniinitelj tako predstavlja savreno izvrenje"prvog" upotpunjenog stvaralakog koncepta ili plana

    plan for combined action by the Father-Son personality partnership of absolute thought-word union. The ThirdSource and Center eternalizes concurrently with thecentral or fiat creation, and only this central creation iseternal in existence among universes.

    Since the personalization of the Third Source,

    the First Source no more personally participates inuniverse creation. The Universal Father delegateseverything possible to his Eternal Son; likewise doesthe Eternal Son bestow all possible authority and power upon the Conjoint Creator.

    The Eternal Son and the Conjoint Creator have, as partners and through their co-ordinate personalities, planned and fashioned every post-Havona universe which has been brought intoexistence. The Spirit sustains the same personalrelation to the Son in all subsequent creation that theSon sustains to the Father in the first and centralcreation.

    A Creator Son of the Eternal Son and aCreative Spirit of the Infinite Spirit created you andyour universe; and while the Father in faithfulnessupholds that which they have organized, it devolvesupon this Universe Son and this Universe Spirit tofoster and sustain their work as well as to minister tothe creatures of their own making.

    The Infinite Spirit is the effective agent of theall-loving Father and the all-merciful Son or theexecution of their conjoint project of drawing tothemselves all truth-loving souls on all the worlds of time and space. The very instant the Eternal Sonaccepted his Father's plan of perfection attainment for the creatures of the universes, the moment theascension project became a Father-Son plan, thatinstant the Infinite Spirit became the conjointadministrator of the Father and the Son for theexecution of their united and eternal purpose. And inso doing the Infinite Spirit pledged all his resources of divine presence and of spirit personalities to the Father and the Son; he has dedicated all to the stupendous plan of exalting surviving will creatures to the divineheights of Paradise perfection.

    The Infinite Spirit is a complete, exclusive,and universal revelation of the Universal Father andhis Eternal Son. All knowledge of the Father-Son partnership must be had through the Infinite Spirit, theconjoint representative of the divine thought-wordunion.

    The Eternal Son is the only avenue of approach to the Universal Father, and the Infinite Spiritis the only means of attaining the Eternal Son. Only bythe patient ministry of the Spirit are the ascendant beings of time able to discover the Son.

    At the center of all things the Infinite Spirit isthe first of the Paradise Deities to be attained by theascending pilgrims. The Third Person enshrouds theSecond and the First Persons and therefore mustalways be first recognized by all who are candidatesfor presentation to the Son and his Father.

    And in many other ways does the Spiritequally represent and similarly serve the Father and theSon.

    4. THE SPIRIT OF DIVINE MINISTRY

    Paralleling the physical universe whereinParadise gravity holds all things together is thespiritual universe wherein the word of the Soninterprets the thought of God and, when "made flesh,"demonstrates the loving mercy of the combined natureof the associated Creators. But in and through all thismaterial and spiritual creation there is a vast stagewhereon the Infinite Spirit and his spirit offspringshow forth the combined mercy, patience, andeverlasting affection of the divine parents towards theintelligent children of their co-operative devising andmaking. Everlasting ministry to mind is the essence of the Spirit's divine character. And all the spirit offspringof the Conjoint Actor partake of this desire to minister,this divine urge to service.

    God is love, the Son is mercy, the Spirit isministry--the ministry of divine love and endlessmercy to all intelligent creation. The Spirit is the personification of the Father's love and the Son'smercy; in him are they eternally united for universalservice. The Spirit is love applied to the creaturecreation, the combined love of the Father and the Son.

    On Urantia the Infinite Spirit is known as anomnipresent influence, a universal presence, but inHavona you shall know him as a personal presence of actual ministry. Here the ministry of the Paradise Spiritis the exemplary and inspiring pattern for each of hisco-ordinate Spirits and subordinate personalitiesministering to the created beings on the worlds of timeand space. In this divine universe the Infinite Spiritfully participated in the seven transcendentalappearances of the Eternal Son; likewise did he participate with the original Michael Son in the seven bestowals upon the circuits of Havona, thereby becoming the sympathetic and understanding spiritminister to every pilgrim of time traversing these perfect circles on high.

    When a Creator Son of God accepts thecreatorship charge of responsibility for a projectedlocal universe, the personalities of the Infinite Spirit pledge themselves as the tireless ministers of thisMichael Son when he goes forth on his mission of creative adventure. Especially in the persons of the

    Creative Daughters, the local universe Mother Spirits,do we find the Infinite Spirit devoted to the task of fostering the ascension of the material creatures tohigher and higher levels of spiritual attainment. And allthis work of creature ministry is done in perfectharmony with the purposes, and in close associationwith the personalities, of the Creator Sons of these

    local universes.As the Sons of God are engaged in the

    gigantic task of revealing the Father's personality of love to a universe, so is the Infinite Spirit dedicated tothe unending ministry of revealing the combined loveof the Father and the Son to the individual minds of allthe children of each universe. In these local creationsthe Spirit does not come down to the material races inthe likeness of mortal flesh as do certain of the Sons of God, but the Infinite Spirit and his co-ordinate Spiritsdo downstep themselves, do joyfully undergo anamazing series of divinity attenuations, until theyappear as angels to stand by your side and guide youthrough the lowly paths of earthly existence.

    By this very diminishing series the InfiniteSpirit does actually, and as a person, draw very near toevery being of the animal-origin spheres. And all thisthe Spirit does without in the least invalidating hisexistence as the Third Person of Deity at the center of all things.

    The Conjoint Creator is truly and forever thegreat ministering personality, the universal mercyminister. To comprehend the ministry of the Spirit, ponder the truth that he is the combined portrayal of the Father's unending love and of the Son's eternalmercy. The Spirit's ministry is not, however,restricted solely to the representation of the EternalSon and the Universal Father. The Infinite Spirit also possesses the power to minister to the creatures of therealm in his own name and right; the Third Person is of divine dignity and also bestows the universal ministryof mercy in his own behalf.

    5. THE PRESENCE OF GOD

    The outstanding attribute of the Infinite Spiritis omnipresence. Throughout all the universe of universes there is everywhere present this all- pervading spirit, which is so akin to the presence of auniversal and divine mind. Both the Second Person and

    The Father is infinite and is therefore limitedonly by volition. In the bestowal of Adjusters and inthe encircuitment of personality, the Father acts alone, but in the contact of spirit forces with intelligent beings,

    he utilizes the spirits and personalities of the EternalSon and the Infinite Spirit. He is at will spiritually present equally with the Son or with the ConjointActor; he is present with the Son and in the Spirit.The Father is most certainly everywhere present, andwe discern his presence by and through any and all of these diverse but associated forces, influences, and presences.

    In your sacred writings the term Spirit of Godseems to be used interchangeably to designate both theInfinite Spirit on Paradise and the Creative Spirit of your local universe. The Holy Spirit is the spiritualcircuit of this Creative Daughter of the ParadiseInfinite Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a circuit indigenousto each local universe and is confined to the spiritualrealm of that creation; but the Infinite Spirit isomnipresent.

    There are many spiritual influences, and theyare all as one. Even the work of the Thought Adjusters,though independent of all other influences,unvaryingly coincides with the spirit ministry of thecombined influences of the Infinite Spirit and a localuniverse Mother Spirit. As these spiritual presencesoperate in the lives of Urantians, they cannot besegregated. In your minds and upon your souls theyfunction as one spirit, notwithstanding their diverseorigins. And as this united spiritual ministration isexperienced, it becomes to you the influence of theSupreme, "who is ever able to keep you from failingand to present you blameless before your Father onhigh."

    Ever remember that the Infinite Spirit is theConjoint Actor; both the Father and the Son arefunctioning in and through him; he is present not onlyas himself but also as the Father and as the Son and asthe Father-Son. In recognition of this and for manyadditional reasons the spirit presence of the InfiniteSpirit is often referred to as "the spirit of God."

    It would also be consistent to refer to theliaison of all spiritual ministry as the spirit of God, for such a liaison is truly the union of the spirits of Godthe Father, God the Son, God the Spirit, and God theSevenfold even the spirit of God the Supreme.

    6. PERSONALITY OF THE INFINITE SPIRIT

    Do not allow the widespread bestowal and thefar-flung distribution of the Third Source and Center toobscure or otherwise detract from the fact of his

    personality. The Infinite Spirit is a universe presence,an eternal action, a cosmic power, a holy influence,and a universal mind; he is all of these and infinitelymore, but he is also a true and divine personality.

    The Infinite Spirit is a complete and perfect personality, the divine equal and co-ordinate of the

    Universal Father and the Eternal Son. The ConjointCreator is just as real and visible to the higher intelligences of the universes as are the Father and theSon; indeed more so, for it is the Spirit whom allascenders must attain before they may approach theFather through the Son.

    The Infinite Spirit, the Third Person of Deity,is possessed of all the attributes which you associatewith personality. The Spirit is endowed with absolutemind: "The Spirit searches all things, even the deepthings of God." The Spirit is endowed not only withmind but also with will. In the bestowal of his gifts it isrecorded: "But all these works that one and theselfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally and ashe wills."

    "The love of the Spirit" is real, as also are hissorrows; therefore "Grieve not the Spirit of God."Whether we observe the Infinite Spirit as ParadiseDeity or as a local universe Creative Spirit, we findthat the Conjoint Creator is not only the Third Sourceand Center but also a divine person. This divine personality also reacts to the universe as a person. TheSpirit speaks to you, "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says." "The Spirit himself makesintercession for you." The Spirit exerts a direct and personal influence upon created beings, "For as manyas are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

    Even though we behold the phenomenon of the ministry of the Infinite Spirit to the remote worldsof the universe of universes, even though we envisagethis same co-ordinating Deity acting in and through theuntold legions of the manifold beings who take originin the Third Source and Center, even though werecognize the omnipresence of the Spirit, nonetheless,we still affirm that this same Third Source and Center is a person, the Conjoint Creator of all things and all beings and all universes.

    In the administration of universes the Father,Son, and Spirit are perfectly and eternallyinterassociated. Though each is engaged in a personalministry to all creation, all three are divinely andabsolutely interlocked in a service of creation andcontrol which forever makes them one.

    In the person of the Infinite Spirit the Father and the Son are mutually present, always and inunqualified perfection, for the Spirit is like the Father
