Voice-over

“It’s still winter.

In Britain, the weather is dramatically changing all the time. Becoming more aggressive, erratic, and more unpredictable. We used to know what the weather held in store for us, but now, we’re not so sure.

The world over, weather affects peoples lives. The impact it has on us all is unimaginable. Melting ice caps are just the tip of the ice berg, it goes much deeper than that.

Britain is notorious for the constant drizzle it receives. Only last winter, we were brought to a stand still. A few inches, that’s all it took.

That’s all it took to confine us to our homes, to postpone football matches up and down the country. At Wimbledon, the roof was in constant use. And we had tragedy strike our roads.

But we can’t give in, we can’t let it beat us. Britain, a proud nation, after all its been through. It’s survived much more than a mere bombardment of hail, the heavens opening up to unleash a devastating down pour.

We can’t let the weather dictate our lives, or scupper our plans.

Its still winter, but we need to get on with on with it. Its the best way, the British way.”
