BACKGROUND• Every year, between 100 and 150 children arrive in Denmark unaccompanied.• Socially vulnerable children get the opportunity to get away from home for a

while• Bullying is worst among schoolchildren aged 10-14 years. However, the

problem can be addressed as early as the preschool age and during the first years of primary school.

• Greenlandic children can enter a safe haven where home problems are left at the door, with time for school homework and socializing in a friendly atmosphere.

• More opportunities for young people to develop socially and professionally are needed.

Example Of Red Cross Volunteering WorkCBS STUDENTS

• CBS Students – Your Student Union CBS Students is the student union at Copenhagen Business School. They are the voice of the students at CBS, their ultimate goal is to improve CBS, and they are there to help children and young people in any way they can.

• Every student at CBS is automatically a member of CBS Students. Across different study programs at CBS, CBS Students create a network connecting students and student organizations. They assists their candidates in the Study Boards, Academic Council and Board of Directors, They support student organizations and initiatives financially or practically, and they run a cheap student print service for every CBS.

• Their student union relies on volunteers carrying out the many different activities performed by CBS Students, and in exchange volunteers are provided with the opportunity to take part in ambitious and exciting tasks in co-operation with other students to enjoy.
