  • 1. The benthic zone is the ecological region at the lowest level of a body ofwater such as an ocean or a lake, including the sediment surface and somesub-surface layers. Organisms living in this zone are called benthos. Theygenerally live in close relationship with the substrate bottom; many suchorganisms are permanently attached to the bottom.

2. These are some deep sea creatures.Some of these animals live on the seafloor bottom. 3. This fish may look like the naga, but it isnt as strong as the naga. It has no gills like the other fish,instead of gills they have holes on the top of there head. 5. The giant isopod isrelated to crustaceanssuch as shrimp and crab.The genus of the isopodis Bathynomus. Thegiant isopod is thelargest isopod in theworld. 6. The giant squid cangrow up to 13 m(43ft).The giant squid alsofeeds on sperm whales,they have never beenseen alive. 7. AKA marinehatchet fish, thehatchet fish isalso see throughin the dark.There family isthesternopychidea, they arerelated to thefresh waterhatchet fish 8. The six gill sharksare the family of theHexarchus, theycan grow to 5 m(18ft). As you can seethey have six gills,thats why the callthem six gill sharks. 9. AKA sparklingenope Squid.
