CoaCHesAll tennis coaches using our courts must be accredited and are required to register their details with us. Coaches can book either permanent or casual coaching times.

sCHool Holiday Camps/Come and try daysCouncil is working with local coaches and Tennis NSW to expand the range of programs for students. Contact us for details on our current programs.

aCCessWe leave all courts and facilities open (unless an ongoing security or vandalism issue needs addressing) to encourage the community to have

easy and direct access to the courts. Please advise us if you can’t access your courts, whether by unbooked use, vandalism or maintenance problems.

Floodlit CourtsAll lighting is controlled by a central computer at Council and individually scheduled to each venue. Lights are set to turn off about ten minutes after the last booking for the evening to allow safe exit from the courts.

We directly manage all courts for community access and have an “open gate” approach to provide maximum convenience to players.

Our friendly Community and Recreation Services Department manages the bookings for all tennis courts as well as sportsgrounds, halls and other facilities and are only happy to help with any enquiries, information and bookings.

A separate invoice may be sent for lighting due to the fluctuation in light use of most courts throughout the year.

payment optionsAll Permanent Annual Hirers should pay for the first six months by 1 February 2013. Permanent Annual Hirers who pay in full by 1 February 2013 will only pay the rate listed above. Hirers may choose to have the second half of the year invoiced in July. Hirers would then need to pay any fee increases that start from 1 July each year.

Permanent Hirers will be issued an invoice for payment at time of booking confirmation.

permanent annual Hire beneFits• Permanent Annual Hirers have first priority (with

Permanent Coaches) for court bookings. These bookings are confirmed first each year.

• By hiring annually, you receive 10 weeks free.

• Payments made in full save on any annual rise on 1 July each year.

• Courts are reserved for the whole year - 52 weeks.

• Your booking is transferable - should you want a break it is fully transferable to family members and friends.

• Access to any special promotions/social days organised by Council for permanent annual hirers.

• Any additional bookings you make will be at the discount permanent rate

Submission of an application does not guarantee court availability. We will contact you with a confirmation letter and invoice for your permanent hire.

Courts can be booked on a permanent basis for a minimum of ten weeks and a maximum of one calendar year. Permanent annual hirer: Books for the entire calendar yearPermanent hirer: Books 10 weeks or more

Conditions oF HirePermanent• Bookings will not automatically be continued

at the end of the year, hirers are responsible to ensure their bookings are renewed each year. Council may reallocate your booking if an application is not received by the closing date.

• Bookings are available in timeslots commencing with one-hour blocks, increasing by half-hour increments.

• Bookings will be invoiced in December and July each year.

• Permanent hirers will not be offered a credit or alternative date for bookings affected by wet weather.

• Full cancellations or alterations to court hire times will be accepted in writing at least seven days prior to the date of hire.

• Council reserves the right to use court complexes during the public school holidays for children’s coaching, camps or come and try

days and if necessary at other times, for special programs. Alternative locations will be offered, or if you prefer, a credit on your hire. The only courts that may be made available for camps include Roseville Park, St Ives Village Green, Queen Elizabeth II, Warimoo Oval, Allan Small, and Lindfield Community courts.

• Courts may be unavailable due to vandalism, maintenance, repairs or resurfacing. In the event your court is affected, Council may offer an alternate court or booking time. If this is not a suitable solution, a credit will be offered.

• Credits will be offered at the permanent hourly rate only.

• As a courtesy to the next hirer, please vacate courts within two minutes of your booking time concluding.

• Use outside of booked times is not permitted. • Failure to comply with the above conditions will

result in the hirer remaining responsible for court charges.

Following confirmation of Annual Permanent Hirers, Council can accept Casual Hire applications for 2013. Casual Bookings can be made up to 9 weeks in advance only.Casual bookings requiring lights need to be made by 4pm on the day of booking.

Casual Casual bookings are available for those players who wish to play less frequently. Bookings are made online or over the phone and our preferred payment method is by credit card at the time of booking.

Conditions oF HireCasual• All tennis court bookings are available for a

• Casual hire payment must be paid prior to use.• In the case of wet weather preventing play,

all casual hirers are entitled to a 3 month wet weather credit, providing Council is notified within 48hrs of the original booking being washed out. Call 9424 0754 at any time to notify of a wet weather adjustment.

• Credits are valid for up to three months and

may be used on any court during standard hours of play, providing courts and times are available for rebooking.

• In the event play is interrupted for other reasons, the hirer must provide documented evidence the designated courts were unusable to claim a credit (e.g. health warnings).

• The hirer is responsible for assessing the facility and playing conditions prior to the booking and advising Council at least 24 hours before the booked period if they choose to reschedule or move the booking if conditions do not suit their preference.

• 24 hours notice is required to change a booking. • A weekday school student rate is available until

5pm for primary and secondary students only.
