COLLINGWOOD  2012    

           

 We  shouldn’t  change  the  Anzac  day  football  teams.  I  believe  Collingwood  and  Essendon  are  the  best  two  teams  to  play  on  Anzac  day  because  they  draw  the  largest  crowed  and  it  gives  Anzac  day  more  attention  and  makes  lots  of  money.    Firstly,  Essendon  and  Collingwood  are  the  most  popular  teams  because  they  have  the  biggest  fan  club.  Around  90,000  people  watch  the  game  but  if  another  team  played  the  crowed  would  not  nearly  be  the  same.  There  for  the  name  of  Anzac  day  will  get  attention  so  that  it  will  live  on.    Since  Collingwood  and  Essendon  are  the  most  popular  teams  the  people  who  watch  them  will  buy  tickets,  with  the  money  the  AFL  can  upgrade  the  MCG.    There  for  keeping  Collingwood  and  Essendon  as  the  teams  to  play  on  Anzac  day  helps  for  financial  and  commemorative  reasons.    

       

Interview  with  Heath  Shaw  from  the  Collingwood  FC  

 1. Your  dad  played  for  Collingwood.  Did  you  barrack  for  Collingwood  

as  a  child?  :    Yeah  my  dad  would  have  killed  me  otherwise.    

2. I  like  to  listen  to  music  before  my  Hockey  games.  What  do  you  like  to  do  before  a  game?  :  I  also  listen  to  music  before  games  but  I  like  listening  to  eye  of  the  tiger.    

                 

3. How  did  you  feel  when  Collingwood  won  the  2010  grand  final?          I  was  speechless  the  boys  great.                                                

4. How  do  you  feel  about  playing  in  an  18  -­‐  team  league?  :  I  was  overwhelmed  and  very  proud.  

   

5. What  is  the  funniest  thing  a  supporter  has  done  to  you?  :  Kissed  me  after  I  kicked  a  goal.    

6. What  do  you  like  doing  in  your  spare  time?  :  Bird  watching  and  stamp  collecting.      

   

7. What  do  you  think  about  your  new  coach?  :  He  is  good  but  not  as  good  as  micky.    

8. Did  you  always  want  to  play  football?  :  No  when  I  was  young  I  wanted  to  soccer.  

   

9. Do  you  have  a  diet?  :  Yeah  I  am  on  Jenny  Craig  I  was  only  joking  I  eat  lots  of  carbs.

There was no rain on 14/06/12. The temperature did not get higher then 17 degrees. The temperature did not get lower than 11 degrees. The wind was mostly west.

 

It  was  early  last  year  when  Luke  Ball  ruptured  his  ACL  at  a  football  game.  He  had  5  goals  and  39  disposals  he  was  playing  a  great  game.    At  the  last  quarter  he  landed  very  awkwardly  and  ruptured  ACT.  So  he  went  to  the  doctors  on  ground  and  they  said  he  couldn’t  play  for  a  year  Luke  was  heart  broken.

need:  Runners  or  football  boots  and  a  football.    Steps:    1. Hold  the  ball  still  with  both  your  hands  on  

either  side  of  the  ball.  

2. Guide  the  ball  to  foot  with  your  hand.

 3. The  ball  should  be  guided  to  the  tongue  area  of  your  boot  or  runner.

 4. When  you  kick  the  ball  always  follow  through  with  your  foot.

               Now  that  you  know  how  to  drop  punt  show  it  Off  to  your  friends.
