SPECIAL EVENTS

Halloween Spooktacular Dress up in costume, bring the family, and come join the fun. We will have booths set up giving away candy, games for the children, and costume contests. Event held on Halloween evening.

12 Days of Fitness For twelve days in the month of December enjoy special fitness discounts including free classes and other specials.

Wellness Fair Great exhibitors, door prizes, and speakers. Join us in our annual Wellness Fair held every March.

Yoga Solstice & Equinox Events Join us for these special yoga events to celebrate the change of seasons. Events run 2-3 times a year.

YOUTH SPORTS & FITNESS Girls Basketball (1st-6th Grade)

Registration Deadline: September Games in October & November Practices based on coach’s schedule and gym availability. 6 week season - Games on weeknights or Saturdays $35 Members ~ $45 Nonmembers $15 late fee after registration deadline Volunteer Coaches Needed!

Boys Basketball (1st-6th Grade) Registration Deadline: December

Games are played in January & February Practices start last week of

December (tentatively) and are based on coach’s schedule and gym availability.

6 week season and games will be on weeknights and/or Saturdays.

Volunteer Coaches Needed!

Youth Volleyball Camp (3rd-6th Grade) BFHS volleyball coaches and players will be running this 4-week volleyball program for 3rd-6th grade girls in the BFACC gymnasium. Youth are taught the fundamentals of the game, teamwork and fun! BFACC Programing team will run 2 games (tentatively Saturdays) Registration Deadline is in February. Camp days are Tuesdays & Thursdays Mid-February ~ Mid-March 3rd/4th: 4:20-5:20 p.m. 5th/6th: 5:30-6:30 p.m. $35 members ~ $45 nonmembers (T-shirt included in price) $15 late fee after registration deadline

Step It Up

This class consists of choreographed aerobic movements that get your heart rate going! Step boxes have risers to increase the box height if you wish!

PRE-REGISTERED CLASSES Punch cards are not valid for pre-registered classes.

Register and pay for the class/session at the Customer Service Desk. Attend the class/session you registered for. Classes cannot be exchanged or made up. Classes are two days a week for four

weeks. Commit to be fit!! Prices for the following classes: Members $20 Nonmembers $30

Early Bird Workout This two day a week, four week session runs from 5:20am-6:05am. Workouts include cardio, strength, core training, and flexibility.

YOGA Foundations

Focus on the breath, listen to your body, and be present in the moment while improving your strength, balance, flexibility and endurance. Class incorporates standing and floor poses in a safe, effective and consistent format.

Gentle Yoga Slow things down and still experience all the benefits of yoga. This class is perfect for all fitness levels, beginners through advanced!

Strength Training Members $40 Nonmembers $50

Experience the benefit of strength training at any age! This total body workout works all the major muscle groups, and incorporates stretching at the end of the workout.

Strengthen & Stretch Pricepoint varies on class length.

This class combines Bars & Bells and Yoga Foundations for all around conditioning.

BOSU® Mobility and Stability for Active Aging Class intended for “gentle exercisers” improves body awareness and engages in skillful movements that help decrease the fear of falling and improve the activities of daily life.

Dance Fitness

Get your groove on and have fun with our Dance Fitness class. This aerobic workout changes format throughout

the year but it promises a fun way to burn calories.

Cardio Kickboxing Not a martial arts class, but rather a cardio fitness class with jabs, uppercuts, hooks, jump rope, and tons of kick variations!

CardiYoPlyo This fun fitness class combines cardio, yoga, and some plyometrics for a unique and challenging workout.

Core Axis This 30-minute class combines a cardio and strength workout with a focus on your foundation from the core. Emphasis is on Axis (midline) stability and is followed by mobility, strength and power.

Circuit This 45 minute class gives you a total body workout as you rotate through 8-12 stations setup to give you the ultimate workout. Circuits vary from class to class.

Deck of Cards Instructor has a deck of cards and deals out a different workout every session. Each of the four suits in the deck represents a different exercise, and the card value equals the number of reps. Its’ all in the luck of the draw!!

Pop-Up Classes

Classes are not on the monthly schedule and most often pop-up on Saturday mornings. Classes could be any one of the above listed fitness classes. Watch your email and group fitness info board for details.

Little Dribblers (Kindergarten) Kindergarteners will learn the fundamentals of the game: Dribbling, ball handling, passing, footwork and fun! Little Dribblers is a beginner basketball program that does not expect the kids to know about the game of basketball. This program is intended to improve coordination, develop motor skills, and provide physical activity. The kids will perform at half time of a high school basketball game to conclude the program. BFACC staff run the practices and program but volunteer coaches are needed to help teach skills and assist with the performance.

Program Dates: November & December Practices: Once or twice a week

Performance: December at the half-time of a BFHS game

FastTrack to Sports (K-5th Grade) FastTrack to Sports teaches running, jumping, and throwing skills, in a fun environment and team-based competition. It intends to demonstrate the benefits of participating in track and field for the child’s life experience and overall fitness. Registration in this program includes the participation in the BFACC Track & Field Meet at the end of May/Early June Practice: One day a week in May 5:00-6:00pm @ Lou Graslie Field $15 Members ~ $25 Nonmembers $15 late fee after registration deadline

BFACC Track & Field Meet (K-5th Grade) End of May/Beginning of June Event is held at the Lou Graslie Field Cost: $5.00 per athlete or FREE with registration of FastTrack to Sports. No equipment necessary! Volunteers are needed!

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES

Bars & Bells This class uses traditional strength training, high reps, eccentric, concentric and isometric lifts. We use 12-18 lb. weighted bars and dumbbells. Class is achievable for the average person and yet can be a challenge to well-conditioned athletes.

Tabata Interval workouts consisting of four

minutes of high-intensity training, alternating between 20 seconds of max training. This is followed by a 10-second

rest for a total of eight rounds per exercise. These workouts are

fast-paced fun, and burn up a ton of calories.

Balance Ball

This total body workout class is a great way to improve physical strength, cardiovascular endurance, and balance. The class uses dumbbells and is taught standing, seated, and with challenging floor exercises.

Body Sculpting Total body workout that mixes and matches various modes of exercise into a single exercise class. Lift, tighten, and tone your lower half in this intense fat burning class as well as increase upper body strength, muscle tone and body image. Class uses step boxes, light dumbbells, and other equipment to help you get fit.

BOSU® (Core, Upper Body, HIIT, & More) BOSU® is an acronym meaning “both sides

utilized”. It is a functional training tool that works users in all aspects of fitness from

cardio, to strength building, sports conditioning, flexibility and balance-the

possibilities are endless!

Youth Strength & Cardio (6th – 8th) 6th-8th Graders are encouraged to join this class to

learn how to use the weight and cardio equipment. Eight classes for 1-hour each

led by ACSM Exercise Physiologist, Tessa Anderson-Voyles.

Classes offered March/June/July/November $30 Members ~ $40 Nonmembers

Kids Group Fitness (K-5th Grade) (Seasonal in Spring)

This program is a group format for kids to exercise under the direction of a qualified instructor. Days: Tuesdays or Thursdays after school (Spring) Preregistration required. Each month the class format changes. Possible fitness classes include: Circuit, Yoga, Balance Ball, etc. $20 Members ~ $30 Nonmembers Minimum of 6 ~ Max of 12

Run/Walks Our Run/Walks are kid friendly and

open to everyone. Please see the

Run/Walk section for more information

on our 3 annual events.

Our commitment to youth here at the BFACC is to provide safe, fun, and educational programs for the youth in our community. We ask that our participants and parents adhere to the practice of good sportsmanship as our programs are developed for learning and partaking in physical activity. We always welcome parent volunteers and are always looking for officials to help keep our programs running at the highest level. If you would

ADULT SPORTS Team Registration Information

All Adult Sports programs have a Team Registration Packet that

requires all signatures and payment at the time of registration.

After team registration packet is turned in, no roster changes are

allowed. This reserves the teams place in the league and assures

commitment to the league. All player and team registration fees

are non-refundable.

Fall & Winter Adult Volleyball

Registration Deadline August & December

8-week season with double elimination

tournament. Coed plays Sunday afternoon

and Women’s A&B play Monday evenings

Try before you buy! Your first class

is always FREE! We like the try before you buy approach and encourage you to find the class that fits your needs! Show up early to meet the instructor and get set up as classes are first come first serve. Classes are ongoing and change throughout the year.

Sign up for our group fitness classes at the customer service desk. You can either buy a single class or purchase a 10 class Fitness Card.

Fitness card can be used to attend our ongoing fitness classes. No need to sign up for a month or a session as we know everyone is BUSY! This card allows you to attend classes at your convenience

SilverSneakers® Classic This class is designed to increase muscular strength and range of motion. We provide hand-held weights, elastic tubing and a SilverSneakers® ball for resistance. A chair is used for this class.

SilverSneakers® Circuit This class is designed to improve your

cardiovascular function. The low impact aerobic class is set to music for a fun

standing circuit workout. Some upper-body work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing,

and a SilverSneakers® ball is included. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.

SilverSneakers® Yoga Move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. A chair is used to provide support to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

COMING SOON

SilverSneakers® Splash A fun, shallow-water exercise class that uses a signature splash-board to increase movement and intensity options. Splash is suitable for all skill levels and is safe for non-swimmers. SilverSneakers® is a health and fitness program designed for

adults 65+ that's included with many Medicare Plans. The goal? To help you stay strong in body, mind, and spirit. Regular

physical activity keeps your heart, brain, bones, muscles, and joints healthy. If you have a chronic condition like arthritis, diabetes, or osteoporosis, safe exercise can help you feel

better. Plus, staying social is vital to good health.

Men’s Basketball Want to play? Contact the Programming Department if interested in

a league, 3-on-3, or pickup games as programs will be formed based on patron interest.

Pickleball

Want to play Pickleball? The BFACC

has Pickleball equipment. Get together

with your friends or call and see if

others are playing.

WELLNESS & FITNESS

Runs & Walks All BFACC Run/Walk Events are designed to strengthen our community with a healthy venture around Belle Fourche. For all ages and fitness levels. Bring a friend; get out, walk, jog, or run and have FUN!! Register early to guarantee shirt size and availability. Limited shirts on race day. All proceeds go back to the Community Center and support the Sports & Fitness programs that we bring to you. All Run/Walks Provide a Kids Event:

Fearless 5K Don’t be afraid…don’t be scared…be

FEARLESS!!! Join us for the BFACC Fearless 5K. The race starts and finishes

at Herrmann Park and is held on a Sunday afternoon in October.

Resolution Run

The Resolution Run (3-miles) starts and

finishes at Herrmann Park. It probably

won’t be warm, it may be cold, it may be

snowing-who knows?! The race takes

place on a Sunday in early January.

500 Mile Club

This FREE program is provided to members with a

goal to motivate and encourage physical activity.

Record your weekly mileage in the pool, on the

track, or in the cardio room. We will tally your

mileage weekly. Hit your 500-mile goal and receive a

T-shirt. Your name will also be placed on the “elite” 500-mile club

plaque that hangs up on the track.

Weight & Cardio Room Orientation

FREE to all members. This orientation is a general overview of

how to use the equipment properly/safely. Patrons interested in

this service are encouraged to schedule an appointment with the

Programming Team. Orientations take approximately 30 minutes.

This is a specific exercise program personalized

for you. Session will take approximately 60

minutes. Patrons must fill out a health status

form and goal sheet prior to the session. Contact

Body Composition What is your BMI (Body Mass Index)? What is your waist measurement and how does it affect your health? How much lean tissue and how much body fat do you have?
