process of trans-generational learning. Students should be able to demonstrate
their reading comprehension. Students should make connections between
their lives and elements of culture.
Culture Culture is all the
things that make up a people’s entire way of life.

Who or what is the #1 influence on an individual’s culture????
Trans-generational learning We inherit our
culture from our parents and grandparents.
A mother teaching her daughter to milk goats.

pass our culture on to our children.

Class work Open your notebook and divide your
paper down the middle. Create a list of 5 individual words or short phrases that come to mind when I say “family”. Write them down on the LEFT hand side of your list.

from page #13 to #14. Write 5 facts that you remember from
the reading. Please put these on the RIGHT hand side of your list.
