Crew Requirements

We require the following venue staff:

• 1 x Stage Manager - from load-in time • 1 x Qualified electrician/Fly man – Get in/Get out • 2 x Followspot operators (we will use in house Follow spots – if there are no spots in house we will do

the show with a front wash – please advice the PM in advance)

Please note: For venues with a ‘standard’ load in we do not require any additional crew other than that listed

above and cannot accept any additional staff costs unless agreed in advance. See “Venue Production

Recharges” item below in the FOH section. Please contact the production manager if your theatre has an

abnormal load in which may require extra crew – e.g. steps/lifts etc.


Technical Requirements

Sound

We tour a complete sound package. Our PA is a ground stacked. We will need space of approximately 1.3m x 0.8m either side of stage for the stack. We may wish to patch into or use your in-house PA exclusively dependent on the venue and the system you have. Please let us know if this won’t be possible. We need a FOH mixing position central in the room and preferably not under a deep balcony. This position needs to be a minimum of 8ft wide by 4ft deep (this includes the lighting desk). This mixing position needs to be within 75m of the sound power supply for our multicore.

LX/Projection

We tour some lighting kit and require the use of some in house equipment. All the touring kit is self contained.

For the in-house equipment we will need the DMX lines for the inhouse dimmers/fixtures at the FOH position.

Touring kit:

We require 6 x clear Bars On stage for our touring LX, projection and set. See attached touring fly plot for positions and info. The LX control position will be with the sound desk in the auditorium.

Equipment to be supplied by the venue: 12 x Shuttered Profiles A full overstage 4 colour wash 4 x Floor pars Below is a breakdown of this equipment, please see the attached plot for more information: FOH Bridge: 6 x Shuttered profiles suitable for the size of your venue plus a full stage wash.


Overstage: (downstage) 6 x shuttered profiles – suitable for the size of your venue, these must have an appropriate lens to wash a full 8x8 riser positioned upstage. A full overhead 4 colour wash. Red – L106 or similar Blue – L119 or similar Green – L139 or similar Amber – L158 or similar Floor: Where possible we require 4 floor pars to up light our legs – these will be located USR, USL, MSR, MSL. If you have any moving lights FOH or onstage that are available to use without a recharge please inform the Production Manager prior to the show.

Effects

Haze is used throughout the show and is required during the get in for focusing, we tour our own hazer. Please

ensure that the fire alarm is isolated from the stage and main body of the auditorium from around 13.00.

Power

Lighting – 63A 3phase 5 pin CEEform within 10m of DSL

Sound – 32A Single Phase 3 pin CEEform within 10m of DSL

FOH – 4 x 13amp Sockets at the FOH mix position

Stage

We will play the show on a stage size of 8m deep by 12m wide ideally. This can be smaller although we would need to be informed prior to the show. We need the stage to be a full black box with a black backdrop, legs and borders.


We need you to supply the following risers of the size given below for our band as shown on the plan. a. Instrument Riser Upstage Left 8ft x 8ft x 2ft b. Drum Riser Upstage Centre 8ft x 8ft x 2ft c. Keys Riser Upstage Right 8ft x 8ft x 2ft If you foresee any problems in providing this, please advise our Production Manager at least four weeks before the show date.

Quick Change

We require a quick-change area DSR which will need a clothes rail, a full length mirror, a working light and 2

standard chairs. This must be completely masked from the auditorium though does not have to be boxed off

from the stage.

Communications

We will need 3 comms sets for clear communication between the following locations:

• 1 x lighting operator

• 1 x on stage prompt corner for clearance/contact with stage manager

• 1 x in the SR quick change area

• 2 x on follow spots (LX operator will call the spots throughout the show)


Backstage Requirements

Dressing Rooms

These are spaces required backstage, as close to the stage area as possible: • 1 x Lead singer – THIS MUST BE ON STAGE LEVEL IF POSSIBLE • 1 x Female dressing room (2 people) • 1 x Male dressing room (4 people) • 1 x Production office

We ask that all the rooms are lockable and have private washing and toilet facilities where possible. We also require a full-length mirror and hanging rails in all dressing rooms. Please ensure that the backstage area is secure with no public access. Please provide dressing room keys to our Production Manager on arrival.

Parking

We understand that parking can be limited, so we appreciate your assistance in accommodating the following vehicles free of charge, adjacent to the loading bays

• 2 x LWB Vans • 4 x cars / small vehicles

If you foresee any issues with the parking arrangements, please advise our Production Manager at least four weeks before the show date. Please ensure that the loading bay is clear for the load in. If the loading bay and/or parking aren’t venue

controlled please advise ASAP so we can arrange permits or alternatives.

Catering

We don’t require any catering though a green room with tea/coffee, milk, kettle and a microwave for the

touring party is appreciated if available.


FOH Requirements

Merchandise

We tour a small amount of merchandise. This is to be sold by a member of venue staff pre show, during the

interval and post show. The cash for the merchandise must be settled in cash with the tour rep on the night of

the show.

Payments

We will arrange with the venue management an advance BACs payment from the box office receipts. If the

payment is by a cheque please ensure that it is made available to the Tour Rep on the night.

Venue Production Recharges

Any recharges must be agreed in advance of the show day. Please send any proposed or estimated recharges

at least 4 weeks in advance to the promoter contact.
