I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Belair community members who have contributed to the P&C over the years. It has been a pleasure working with you over the years and our school is a better place for student learning and play as a result of your commitment. The P&C plays many key roles in the school. Our uniform shop and canteen are both coordinated by the P&C. These two endeavours provide great service to our community. Over the years the P&C has supported our school to enable the purchase of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of classroom technology, reading resources, play resources, playground shade sails, garden beds and resources, support for needy families and much more. To enable all this great work the P&C has relied on our whole school community to support fundraisers and I thank the community for this support. I also want to recognise the multitude of parents who contribute to our school through a range of activities such as being classroom helpers, sharing their expertise to support student learning, helping with gardens and environmental programs, cooking at events, covering library books, teaching scripture and ethics, coaching teams, transporting of students to sport, chess, debating, dance, band, mentoring students and more. Kotara High Bunnings Fundraiser Kotara High is manning the BBQ at Bunnings Kotara on Sunday. If you have a child soon to attend Kotara High you might like to start making connections with other parents and help out the school in a way that will ultimately help your child, jump on the link below and spend an hour cooking or serving sausages. htp://signup.com/go/oGtWgpn Outstanding Excursion Payments and School Fees As we are entering the final few weeks of the 2019 school year I urge all parents to finalise outstanding payments for excursions, book packs and school fees. Each year, as a school we end up carrying bad debts and then we have difficulty trying to retrieve late payments. At present, the school has covered these costs from our budget allocations which is affecting our ability to organise other activities. Our budget is designed to be shared equally throughout the entire school population.

The LAST ISSUE for this year will be sent home this week. Orders are due by:

WEDNESDAY 27 NOVEMBER The issue will be closed-off in LOOP after this date. Book Club orders can only be placed via LOOP. Paper forms cannot be completed and placed at the office. All orders earn resources for our school.

What is LOOP? LOOP is Scholastic Book Club’s “Linked Online Ordering & Payment” platform. This system allows parents to place and pay for their order without the need to return the paper form to school. With LOOP you can pay using credit card and you can use any Scholastic vouchers. LOOP includes a gift option so you can still request that your order is left at the office to be collected. You can access LOOP either at www.scholastic.com.au/LOOP or via the app (download from the App Store or Google play). If you have any problems using LOOP, Scholastic are more than happy to help out parents directly – call them on 1800 021 233. Belair Book Club Co-ordinator – Catherine Whittaker, 0414 945 817
