The course will be held at:Thames Chase

Pike LaneUpminster RM14 3NS

Theory sessions & first practical will be held in:Education Room

Remaining practical sessions will be held in:Divisional Teaching Apiary

Plus a session for hive-building demonstrations on Saturday 16th May, 1pm – 4pm, in The Barn.

• the life cycle of the honeybee• how to set up an apiary• how to manage a colony

to produce honey• effective swarm control

& making increase• bee diseases recognition &

management• how to assemble hive

and frames• the start-up ways & costs
