“The matches were great and a wonderful introduction to

competitive golf. The format allows a relaxed atmosphere

with limited pressure on each individual golfer. Most

of the pressure I saw put on Christian came from

himself as he wanted to do well. Sportsmanship from

all competitors on each and every shot helped provide a

positive environment where confidence could grow.”

Golf EtiquetteGolf EtiquetteEveryone throws around the term golf etiquette, but what does it mean? Golf Etiquette refers to a set of rules and practices designed to make the game of golf safer and more enjoyable for golfers and to minimize possible damage to golf equipment and courses. Although many of these practices are not part of the formal rules of golf, golfers are customarily expected to observe them.

Interesting! How many of you knew that? It’s not part of the rules but expected to be observed. Let’s take a look at a few tips to make sure we are observing the expected practices!

• Don’t be the slowest player

• Play “Ready Golf”

• Never search for a lost ball for more than three minutes

• Repair the ground you play on

• Be a silent partner

• Make your golf cart invisible

All golfers, especially beginners, will enjoy the experience of playing quicker and shooting low scores. In addition, more experienced golfers can use these tees as a way to hone aspects of their approach game or play a faster round.
