• Log in to www.thehartford.com/retirementplans/access and select “Login” under Act.

• On the Choose a Login Screen, Select the first option ~ “Retirement Access” under Participant.

• Log in using your Social Security # (no dashes or spaces) as your User Name and Month/Day of Birth for your Password (MMDD). Click Login to continue.

• You will then need to change your password. Please note the Password Criteria. Click Continue when complete.

• You will need to confirm the change to your password. Click Submit to continue.

• Click continue once the Password Change has been Confirmed

• You will then be prompted to change your user name. Please note the user name criteria. Upon completion, click continue.

• You will then need to submit the request to change your user name. Click Continue.

• Click continue once your user name has been confirmed.

• Check off the box indicating you have read, understand and accept the terms and conditions, then Click Continue.

• You will then be presented with the Enrollment Options Screen. Please note the Blue Box Reminder to complete a beneficiary designation form. Click Enroll.

• You will then be asked to choose a deferral percentage. Click Continue once you have entered in a percentage.

• Verify your contribution change and click continue.

• You will then be asked to choose your investments. Select either a Plan Asset Allocation Model or Select Your Own Investments, then Click Continue.

• In this example, an Allocation Strategy has been selected by highlighting the strategy and clicking select strategy.

• Once selected, the percentages new money will be contributed to the funds in the strategy will be displayed. Click continue.

• You will then need to verify your investment selection. Click continue.

• Your enrollment is then completed and confirmed.
