Our classroom atmosphere abounds with Catholic teachings—whether it’s the crucifix or our attempt at treating each other with compassion and respect. Instead of hiding my faith, Beckman has allowed me—better yet encourages me—to teach through faith.- Ron Broxson ~ 7-12 English Teacher

We were impressed with the diverse options the students could make when selecting their daily classes as well as their extra-curricular activities.- Scott and Lynn Schilling ~ Beckman Parents

Greetings from Beckman Catholic! I am enjoying my eighth year as Beckman Catholic’s principal. I hope the new year finds you well. The long and proud Catholic tradition that has been Beckman continues as we are half way through another year.

“It is with full knowledge and gratefulness that we recognize, at this time, the generosity of those who wish to see Beckman Catholic High School continue its proud tradition and mission.” The Catholic Schools Week theme is: “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.” Beckman students are formed in faith through their theology classes, daily prayer, and weekly Mass; Beckman students are formed in knowledge through a strong staff and academic program as evidenced by consistently strong test scores; Beckman students are formed in service through a service program that sends them out to parish, community and school. This year, 412 students in grades 7-12 have been enjoying the graces of these experiences that are made possible through your generous gifts. We believe attending Beckman Catholic changes the life of a student. For Beckman Catholic to continue its mission, it needs the help of many people. We realize your devotion is an endorsement of Beckman Catholic and its mission during this annual appeal. The success of the Appeal is a vital cog in the ongoing work of Beckman Catholic. As the cost of keeping a quality school increases, keeping quality teachers is always a challenge and your support is crucial. I ask again that you be generous to this year’s Annual Appeal. We will do our utmost to use your contributions wisely and efficiently to help Beckman Catholic continue to be a shining light for our students and families. Jesus said, “I will be with you always, even until the end of the world,” and we will continue to keep you and all the friends of Beckman Catholic in our prayers until then. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Pat Meade ~ Principal

Recently, a friend of mine shared with me the good news that her son was accepted as a college student at our alma mater. I was so excited. The message the university offered her son began with the words, “Welcome Home.” Clever! Beckman Catholic has served as a home for Catholic education and formation for half

a century. Parents, religious sisters and brothers, grandparents, parishioners, priests, and businesses have made great sacrifices to assure that anyone who wants to train hearts, minds, souls and hands for a lifetime of service to God and His people could find a home at Beckman Catholic. The benefits you received by walking through these hallowed hallways will endure to eternity.

“We ask you to share the gift you have received with others by being generous to your home, your high school.” Know that you are welcome home to Beckman at any time, but especially for our school Masses on Thursdays at 10:20 am, for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Tuesdays, for daily Mass on first Fridays at 7:30 am, for our plays, concerts, musicals, and athletic events throughout the year. You can be proud to call Beckman Catholic your home.

    In Christ,

Fr. Dennis Quint ~ Pastoral Coordinator

“We are very grateful that we have stayed in touch with our Beckman Catholic family, and we still enjoy watching the many benefits that it has to offer our young adults.”– Lori (Osterhaus) Daly Class of 1983

Whether you have donated to the Annual Appeal, attended the Gala dinner/auction, contributed to STO, taken admission tickets at a sports event, helped crack eggs at the Mother’s Day breakfast, attended adoration, volunteered as a guest speaker in the classroom, solicited for the capital campaign, assisted with flowers and landscaping, or contributed your support in any way, your dedication is what makes Beckman Catholic a special place. Thank you for sharing your time and your talent.

Blazing TrailsThe ‘Blazing Forward’ Capital Campaign continues to progress. The bidding process on the chapel and the office addition is scheduled for Feb. 2016, with the estimated project start date of April 1 and completion date within six months. Final plans on the multi-purpose room are scheduled to be completed sometime this spring with the bidding process to follow. The committee anticipates construction to begin sometime this summer.
