03/08/2019 158 MOTION to Join Case by Charles Donelson. (jsm2) (Entered: 03/08/2019)

03/19/2019 159 ORDER DENYING 158 Motion for Joinder. As best the Court can tell, CharlesDonelson, an inmate in the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections, isseeking to become a party to this case in some fashion. The only means of becoming aplaintiff in an already−existing action of which the Court is aware is joinder underFederal Rules of Civil Procedure 19 or 20, intervention under Rule 24, or amendmentof a complaint pursuant to Rule 15. Donelson has not demonstrated that therequirements for either joinder or intervention are satisfied in this case. See Fed. R.Civ. P. 19, 20, 24. Similarly, the existing Plaintiffs have not moved to amend theircomplaint to join Donelson as a party Plaintiff. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 15. Therefore,Donelson's request to join this action is DENIED. However, Donelson may potentiallybecome a member of this proposed class action at some point in the future providedthe class is certified and Donelson falls within the class definition. The Clerk of Courtis DIRECTED to mail a copy of this Order to Charles Donelson at StatevilleCorrectional Center. Signed by Magistrate Judge Mark A. Beatty on 3/19/2019.(klh2)THIS TEXT ENTRY IS AN ORDER OF THE COURT. NO FURTHERDOCUMENTATION WILL BE MAILED. (Entered: 03/19/2019)
