Research● Beats was founded by hip hop artist and
producer Andre 'Dr.Dre' Young.
● It is a collection of audio products and equipment.
● It was launched in 2008.
● Dr.Dre states how “People are not hearing all the music.”
● Therefore the mission statement of Beats Electronics is to redefine sound, and allow the public to enjoy music in a better way.

Previous Ads and Competitors● There has not been a lot for
TV advertisement, because again, Dr.Dre is a respected artist around the world therefore a lot of marketing is done through word of mouth.
● There has, however, been YouTube advertisements, released by their own channel. ● 'All Eyes On
Us' ad.
● 'Skull Candy Headphones – Snowboarding Commercial
● 'Music Is For Everyone' – 50 Cent SMS Audio Commercial
● There has been competition amongst other artists who are endorsing their own audio products.
THE IDEA!!!● We are planning to create an advertisement that derives from
promoting musical artists. We want to promote the headphones and how it redefines music in our modern age.
● We are targeting a youth demographic: males and females aged 16 to 25 on average.
● Instead of having any association with celebrities, our protagonist will be an ordinary person listening music.
● We are choosing a playlists of different genres to suit the music taste of more that one group. We will be choosing the following genres: hip-hop, pop, country, RnB, blues and reggae.
