I was reminded today that when we become

overwhelmed by what God has called us to do we

have to remember that wisdom comes from Him.

While reading through Exodus I was tempted to just

skim over the portion describing how to build the

tabernacle. I sat thinking “My goodness how much

more?” three cubits here, a molding there, gold

rings here, some acacia wood there… and it went

on and on. However God showed me that these

chapters of instructions could have been extremely

overwhelming to those that were required to build

this tabernacle. There are many reasons that they

could have been overwhelmed. They did not have

the machinery that we are privileged to have today.

Not only that, they were not just building this for

some wealthy ruler, or soon to be homeowner. This

tabernacle was for the Most High, one for God

Himself. So there had to be pressure on their

backs. Not to mention all of the instructions that

came along with it. READ MORE AT

The Gift of Wisdom What’s New?

This is an excerpt from Be Inspired! writer Christina Patterson’s Blog

maybe you can’t. Your beauty can

not be found in a mirror any more

than I can capture the beauty of

the Grand Canyon on a glossy

5”x7” piece of paper. Beauty is

who you are, beautiful is what God

made you. Our understanding of

true beauty has been clouded by

the false images of beauty that we

see every day.

“Beauty is who you are, beautiful is what God made

you. ”

to have something to be beautiful.

All these things do is accentuate

the beauty God has already given

us, and there is nothing wrong with

that. However, my sister, please

never stray away from the fact that

it is God who has made you

beautiful. It is important that we

understand this because when we

allow our beauty to be defined by

the whims of mans ideas and

opinions, our view of beauty is

bound by our ability to keep up

with the constant changing trends

of the fashion industry, marketing

schemes, and what others think.

Again, I am not saying do not wear

makeup or the latest fashions. I am

saying do not place your

confidence in them to feel

beautiful….

You can read more of

these great messages by

going to the Be Inspired!

Website.

Do this, do that, wear this, buy that

. . . and then . . . . . . you will be

beautiful. I’m getting tired just

thinking of all the futile efforts we

seek to find true beauty when we

already have it. Let me clarify. I am

not saying stop brushing your hair

and teeth. By all means, please

put on some lip gloss and eye

liner, fix your hair and put on

something cute. What I am saying

is do not get caught up into

thinking that you absolutely have

Be Inspired!

God’s Beautiful Creation

Imagine a captivating sun rise.

See a calming sun set. Think of

wild flowers growing in an endless

field. Witness the infinite number of

glistening stars in the sky. Envision

the full vivid moon when it seems

so close. Picture the horizon on a

beach. In the past, when I saw

breath taking scenes of God’s

creation like this, I would attempt

to take a picture of it, wanting the

capture its beauty forever.

However, when I looked at the

picture, it never captured what I

saw at all.

Maybe you have experienced the

same thing. God’s creation is so

beautiful, so awesome, so

captivating, so warm and inviting.

Just think, we are part of that

creation. We are the crown of His

creation. The same beauty He

placed in the soft rolling hills of the

Sahara desert, the clear waters of

the Caribbean, the stars in the

galaxy, is in you. Maybe you look

in the mirror and do not see it,

We want what we want . . . and

we want it now! We don’t want to

have to wait for anything. Yet, we

find that in doing things God’s way,

we must wait. We must do things

on His terms. If we don’t, we will

most likely find ourselves with a

mess on our hands and we’re

running to Him to help us fix it.

We’d save a lot of time and

heartache if we just set our minds

from the beginning to do it His way

and in His timing.

God has a method of doing things;

He does everything in decency

and in order. We must realize that

in order to be the success He’s

planned for us; we have to do it

His way. His way means although

we get what we need, we don’t

always get what we want. It also

means we have to prove to Him

we are well able to handle some of

the small things, some of the

things He’s already provided.

If we’re not able to work with and

be good stewards (managers) of

these other things, He’s certainly

not going to entrust us with

anything large. Whatever it is

you’re waiting for or working

toward, don’t rush it. Let God do

what He does, trusting Him all the

way. He’s working some things

out in and through you that you

may not even be aware of.

Once He knows you’re ready and

can be trusted, He’ll move you

ahead in the process. Make a

move to be patient and trust the

One who knows what’s best in ALL

things.
