The traffickers abduct people
Traffickers steal innocence and rights
The traffickers “steal” the people’s abilities and do not pay them for their efforts, instead taking the money for themselves
8th Commandment:“You shall not steal.”
![Page 15: Be Against Human Trafficking](https://reader035.fdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022062512/5549f823b4c905e56c8b4780/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
Everybody!!So trafficking the people made in God’s image
is like slapping God in the face.People are supposed to respect God, so
people should respect one another.
WE ARE MADE IN GOD’S IMAGE
![Page 16: Be Against Human Trafficking](https://reader035.fdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022062512/5549f823b4c905e56c8b4780/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)
Body: physical abuse/scars, STDs, fatigueHeart: ripped apart, emotionally unstable, feel
worthlessMind: mentally scarred, innocence lost, loss of
trustSoul: may doubt God’s impact on their lives,
may blame Him for situation, may doubt religion
BODY-HEART-MIND-SOUL
![Page 17: Be Against Human Trafficking](https://reader035.fdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022062512/5549f823b4c905e56c8b4780/html5/thumbnails/17.jpg)
Every person is worthy of respect simply by virtue of being a human being
Traffickers do not allow their victims to have the respect they deserve
HUMAN DIGNITY
![Page 18: Be Against Human Trafficking](https://reader035.fdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022062512/5549f823b4c905e56c8b4780/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
We show respect for the Creator by our stewardship of creation. We have a responsibility to care for the world’s goods as stewards and trustees, not just as consumers.
Traffickers are NOT caring for God’s people
STEWARDSHIP
![Page 19: Be Against Human Trafficking](https://reader035.fdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022062512/5549f823b4c905e56c8b4780/html5/thumbnails/19.jpg)
It is a firm and persevering determination to commit oneself to the common good; that is to say, to the good of all and of each individual, because we are all really responsible for all.
In order to contribute to the common good, we need to do our part to fight human trafficking
SOLIDARITY
![Page 20: Be Against Human Trafficking](https://reader035.fdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022062512/5549f823b4c905e56c8b4780/html5/thumbnails/20.jpg)
“Whatever insults human dignity, such as subhuman living conditions, arbitrary imprisonment, deportation, slavery, prostitution, the selling of women and children; as well as disgraceful working conditions, where men are treated as mere tools for profit, rather than as free and responsible persons; all these things and others of their like are infamies indeed. They poison human society, but they do more harm to those who practice them than those who suffer from the injury.”
