What is Be Active?A sport and physical activity holiday programme which offers children and young people aged 2 - 16 years the opportunity to access:

Booking InformationBecome a Be Active Pay-As-You-Play member and pay £2.50 per

session. (excluding Sports Camps and Crosby Lakeside taster sessions)

There will be an additional charge for Be Active Sports Camps for those children who wish to specialise and progress in a particular sport.

Discounts are available on Pay-As-You-Play prices and Sports Camps; please see the “Pricing Structure” document.

Due to the popularity of Sports Camps, limited places are available and pre-booking is essential to ensure the correct coach-to-participant ratios. You can go to Bootle Leisure Centre, Meadows, Litherland Sports Park, Netherton Activity Centre, Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre or Dunes Splash World to secure your place.

Wrap around day careFor an additional £5 per day, wrap around day care is provided on selected Camps for 8 - 16 years. Drop off one hour before the Camp starts and pick up one hour after the Camp has finished. Please call the development team on 0151 934 4799 for more details.

Information for Parents of Children 7 Years and UnderWe are not providing child care and believe children aged 7 years and below are particularly vulnerable because of their young age.We strongly recommend you take every precaution to ensure their wellbeing before, during and after the session so there is no danger of them leaving the premises.

Attendees can only be supervised whilst on site and participating in the programme activities during the publicised times. Children cannot be confined to the programme or prevented from coming and going as they please.

We are not able to escort your children home. Our service aims to be child-centred, friendly, safe and fun so that children can play, regardless of race, gender, religion, cultural background or ability.

Coached SessionsIn accordance with current legislation, there will be restrictions on the number of children allowed to participate in activities at any one time.The maximum number for Multi-Sports activities within the programme is 13 children to one member of staff per session. All staff are fully qualified and have Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau Disclosure Certificates. Activities will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.Please note, supervision will only be available during the specified session time.

Swimming SessionsThere are a limited number of participants allowed in a swimming pool at any one time. In order to guarantee entry, participants should arrive at the venue prior to the time stated in the brochure. To avoid disappointment, we encourage participants to bring their sports kit in case swimming pools are full to capacity.

DescriptionPut the fun back into exercise. Led by a team of highly motivated instructors, the Boot Camp will last for 5 weeks and include;• Team games • Boxercircuit • Skip Fit • Physical Challenges • Military assault courses • Interval Training... and more!

All exercises are inclusive with options for all abilities. So if you want to improve your stamina, tone up or just havefun with your friends, then sign up for our Boot Camp this summer! Only £20 for the whole 5 week course!

Booking Information This summer children across Sefton will be invited on a spine

tingling adventure, as they explore the world of Creepy House.

Creepy House has three levels; The Awful Upstairs, Gruesome

Ground Floor and Spine Tingling Cellar. Dare you enter…

The national Summer Reading Challenge takes children through

three stages. To pass through each of the three levels partici-

pants must read two books of their choice, six books in total. As

encouragement, incentives including stickers, a book bag, a

glow in the dark bookmark and a wristband will be gifted at

each stage.

Those who complete their challenge and read all six books will

be presented with a medal and certificate, usually at a special

assembly in school.

Come and join in - it’s fun, it’s free, and it’s at your local library.

During the summer your local libraries will

also be running activity sessions:

Mobile ZoomanMeet some weird and wonderful creatures up close.

Aimed at children of any age. Tickets £2.50

Drop in Craft SessionsPop along with your children and enjoy making crafts together;

a set number of craft packs will be available in the children’s

library on the day. Aimed at children aged 4-7 years.

These sessions are free, no tickets are required.
