Be a Part of Something BIG, By Starting Someplace SMALL.
Welcome to ImmaculataWelcome to Immaculata High School! This is a place where every student is invited to achieve something BIG. Whether that is academic excellence, lasting friendships, sports wins, musical high notes, a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ — or all of the above — the opportunity is yours for the taking here at Immaculata. In fact, you will be encouraged to become more than you ever thought you could be.
At Immaculata, our mission is to educate the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. We accomplish this by focusing on the four pillars on which our school is formed: Faith, Scholarship, Service, and Friendship. As you explore
Immaculata through the pages of this view book, I hope you envision yourself in classrooms, on the field, in the community — working hard, and praying harder. While here, if you respond to the call to apply your best self, you will make great memories, be prepared to excel in college, and begin or continue to make a positive difference in the world.
Immaculata can impact the trajectory of your high school years for the better. Why? Because Immaculata, though a sizable high school, is a smaller school in a traditional Catholic school setting. We know our students by name, we give every student ample opportunities to get involved and excel, and we provide an environment where students feel safe to take healthy risks to further their personal and academic growth. If you want to expand your horizons, a challenging curriculum will guide your path. If you want to apply yourself in service to others, a community in need awaits your dedication. If you wish to express yourself through the arts, a myriad of course offerings and extracurriculars can become your ’center stage’. And, if you prefer to compete in athletics, a winning team will welcome your talent. Opportunities of all kinds abound at Immaculata.
The snapshots in this book describing the accomplishments of just a few of our thousands of alumni attest to a Spartan’s capacity for achievement. They confirm that you can be a part of something BIG, by starting someplace SMALL.
With hope for your dreams,
Joan M. Silo, Ed.S.Head of School
“Everyone at Immaculata, from my friends, to my teachers, to my coach, has pushed me to reach my maximum potential. Without these people and the opportunities afforded by a smaller school environment, I couldn’t be the person I am today nor would the same possibilities await me.”
— IHS Student

MARIAN SCHOLARS The invitation-only Marian Scholars program is dedicated to developing students’ high-level research and presentation skills. In addition to following a highly advanced honors and AP curriculum, our scholars work with faculty mentors in specialized research projects and presentations and receive co-curricular enrichment through excursions, seminars, and speakers.
CHESTERTON CLASSICAL STUDIES Our Chesterton Classical Studies Program seeks to provide a traditional foundation of studies in the humanities, philosophy, theology, language, and the other liberal arts. Harkening back to classical readings and curricula while still focusing on 21st century critical thinking and classroom engagement, this track of courses challenges students to see inter-disciplinary connections as they have come to us through history and apply them to the modern world.
UNITAS PROSPERITAS (UP) PROGRAM Immaculata has a time-honored tradition of nurturing students who may struggle in their study skills and comprehension. Partnering with parents, students, and our Coordinator of Special Services, our teachers work to provide students who have a history of academic challenges, an IEP or ISP classification, or learning disability with the tools they need to succeed in high school and beyond. Our goal is to support each student to be the best they can be during their journey at Immaculata.

In addition, some graduates have the opportunity to complete their undergraduate studies ahead of schedule because of the credits earned in high school.
AP CAPSTONE PROGRAM AP Capstone is an innovative program that allows high school students to develop the skills that matter most for college success: research, collaboration, and communication while providing the framework for high-end critical thinking, teamwork, writing, public speaking, and cross-curricular exploration.
19 AP COURSES Immaculata offers 19 Advanced Placement courses. These courses, which are approved by the College Board, allow advanced students to be challenged by college-level material and have the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. Many colleges and universities will grant credit with an AP score of 3 and higher.
Strong Academics Start with A STRONG FACULTY
We believe in a faculty that blends tradition and progression, collaboration and accountability, discipline and nurture. We seek professionals with modern technology experience, expanded world views, and a passion for their subject area. However, expertise in one’s subject area is only the baseline, as we expect our faculty and staff members to embody our school’s four pillars: Faith, Scholarship, Service, and Friendship. This embodiment is exhibited through additional roles and responsibilities including moderating extracurricular clubs and activities, coaching, and participating in school events.
Immaculata employees are highly skilled, caring leaders who guide our students every day — both inside and outside of the classroom. VIRTUAL LEARNING Immaculata High School is committed to adapting to unforeseen circumstances by leveraging our use of technology to engage our students through various platforms with little to no disruption to the learning environment. Each student is issued a Chromebook that is used for in-person and virtual learning. When unforeseen circumstances prevent students from attending school in-person, they are able to log into PowerSchool Learning to access lessons, assignments, teacher created videos, and relevant resources.
