The BCAC Mission Since our founding in 1973 the
Berryessa Citizens Advisory Council has fulfilled on our missions:
Provide communication between our local government officials and the residents of San Jose Council District 4, and
Advocating for quality of life in our neighborhoods.

The BCAC Wayfinding Banner Art Contest
A Panel of community judges will select eleven winners from these categories:
BUSD Middle School Students Independence High Students Piedmont Hills High Students Community Adults
Where You Come In
You create a visual image of how you see Berryessa – past or present. The BCAC recommends images that align with one of these themes:
Culture (People, Diversity, Traditions)
Heritage (Buildings, Founders, Sites, Landscapes)
Nature (Trees, Wildlife, Creeks) Community (Events,
Entertainment, Festivals) Active Living (Hiking, Biking,
Sports, Swimming)
You may submit ONE entry consisting of an original photo or photograph of an original work of art.

Key Submission Criteria – Failure to Meet All Criteria May Result in Disqualification.
Only original works of art will be accepted (You must own the rights to every image in the work.)
Since the banner space for your work will be 30” wide and 82” high your submission should be cropped to fit this ratio.
Converting your creation into a banner will require significant enlargement, so your digital file must be high resolution, cropped photographic image measuring 2000x5000 pixels @ 300dpi
Image editing by the artist is permitted, but excessive or unrealistic renderings may be judged unacceptable.

How to Enter
Come, in person, to the Community Center (3050 Berryessa Road) Saturday, January 26, 2019 between 1:00-4:00 PM.
BCAC Will Provide Painting and Drawing Supplies to Create On-Site Entries, or Submit Prepared Designs.
