Omnibus Review – Key TakeawaysOmnibus is effective November 1, 2017

Petroleum Hydrocarbons Solvents

• Minimal impact on newer releases

• Slight relaxation on older releases

• Status quo for vapours (except for parkades)

• Generally Positive effect

• Soil relaxed under DW scenario = cost savings for delineation and disposal costs

• Status quo for groundwater

• Relaxation of vapour standards (especially for parkades)

Metals

• Generally negative effect

• Significantly more stringent soil standards = $$$ for delineation and soil disposal

• More groundwater migration and risk assessment

• A simplified soil relocation process may provide some relief
