OverwievWe processed three pigtail macaques that were challenged and treated with IVR: BB319 (IVR placebo), received on 05/12/2015BBO462 (TDF IVR), received on 05/15/2015BBO312 (TDF IVR), received on 05/19/2015All animals received 30mg Depo-Provera Shot 18 days prior to insertion of IVR.14 days post ring insertion animals were vaginally challenged with 2 viruses: live virus SIVmac239 and single round infectious LiCh viruses.72h post viral challenge the animals were sacrificed.Complete intact FRT (cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries) and Inguinal, iliac and axillary lymph nodes were sent to Hope lab with over night shipping on ice.Luciferase activity was observed inAn ovary of BB319 animalBoth ovaries of BBO462 animalAn ovary of BB312 animal and some weak signal in another ovary as wellKiser lab members took small pieces of tissue from each FRT domain for drug levels estimation.
