Who Are The Company

• Bauer media group are a german publishing company that have multiple popular magazines throughout europe, such as, bella, Take a break, That’s Life, and Kerrang!

• Bauer Media Group own 50% of the British television company Box Television, the other half owned by Channel 4. together, they are responsible for producing several popular music television channels, which include: 4music, The Box, Heat, Kerrang!, Kiss, Magic and Smash Hits

Bauer Media’s History

• Bauer has been managed by 5 generations of the bauer family. Originally, it was only small printing house in Germany,however in 1987, Bauer Media Group entered the UK with the launch of Bella magazine and, under the name of H Bauer Publishing became Britain's third largest publisher.

• Previously mentioned, bauer media manage many music channels, such as 4music, The Box, Heat, Kerrang!, Kiss, Magic and Smash Hits, as well as multiple magazines, such as bella take a break, that’s it, kerrang!, MOJO and Q.

Kerrang & Take a Break

• Kerrang!’s Target audience to begin with was originally people who listened to rock music. Over the years, music has changed and people’s music tastes change and kerrang is now focused on heavy metal and hard rock. Although the Television programme covers other genres also. Another large magazine Bauer has in Europe is Take a break. This magazine is targeted at women and include giveaways of £32,000+, TV Soap spoilers and heart warming stories that men wouldn’t really find interesting.
