CREATE DANCE HISTORY CREATE A MEMORY
Fredericksburg, Virginia May/June 2015 Vol 10 No. 3
Well I would like to welcome
back all those who attended SOS
for Spring Safari this year. I
have been told that all who at-
tended had a great time and re-
turned with many exciting things
to talk about. One, a BIG con-
gratulations goes to our own
Jewell Pradier for taking first
place in the Rookie’s Revenge
dance contest. We are so proud
of you Jewell. Secondly, a fine
dance was performed in the
Smoothies contest by our mem-
bers Sherri Wildoner and Chuck
Duymich to earn them a second
place. I guess not all good danc-
ers come from the deep south.
Way to go you three. The
Spring Safari parade also
brought some attention to our
club CSA (Competitive Shaggers
Association) members. Their
float won 1st place for the best
shag themed float. Don Borja,
our own resident artist, and wife
Audrey, worked with the CSA
committee to help make the float
a winner!
While on the subject of SOS,
remember Fall Migration is Sept.
17-27, so reserve your rooms
now. And yes, Shirley will kill
me if I schedule something for
that week like I did for Spring
Safari. I’ll never do that again.
Mark your calendars for the
Northern Virginia Capital Clas-
sic and ACSC meeting to be
hosted by the Northern Virginia
Shag Club July 10-12. This
event will be huge and anyone
who can attend should. NVSC
always has a great party so be
sure to get tickets and make res-
ervations as soon as possible.
Now, to our BBC. Our mem-
bership has been on the rise and I
am so pleased to see so many
people enjoying this crazy dance
that we love.
Our DJs work
tirelessly to
bring us the lat-
est music to test
our steps. New
songs just don’t
jump in their
computer. Thanks guys.
The new shoe bags came in and
they are stylish. Thanks Dennis
for doing a fine job in handling
the orders.
We now have a suggestion box
at the front desk. If you have a
suggestion or comment about
our BBC, please feel free to let
us know how we are doing and
how we can make improve-
ments.
Remember to be kind to your
fellow man,
and keep on dancing,
Wes

Easter spirit was in full force on April 2nd, when Judy Dunnington, Bunny Lelansky , Erica Wood,
& Audrey Borja showed off their Easter head wear, Unfortunately, Audrey showed up too late for
the judging of the Easter Bonnets, however we did enjoy seeing her Easter Spirit. Ray Nolet won
the door prize which was a basket full of Easter candy. The gleam in his eye told me that all of that
candy was not going to be passed on to a child. He later confirmed that the child in him was going
to enjoy every bit of it. Hope you didn't get a belly ache from all that candy Ray.

As Two Become One
Several members of the BBC were fortunate enough to at-
tend the wedding of our very own, Bunny Lelansky and
Jim McMorrow on April 12, 2015. The nuptials took place
at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Elys Ford Road in Fred-
ericksburg. Bunny made a beautiful and stunning bride,
while Jim was every bit the handsome groom.
Their reception was held in the Washington Room, of the
Hospitality House. All of the food and the decorations
were exceptional. We waited for them to smash cake into
each other’s face, but to no avail; they would not do it.
They each took their first bite of wedding cake unscathed.
Jewell Praider caught the bridal bouquet. (Does this mean
that we will get to see another wedding in the near future?)
Bunny & Jim, we, at the BBC wish you all the best the fu-
ture may bring. May you have many happy years ahead
and good health, to enjoy them together.
CONGRATULATIONS…….MR. & MRS. JIM MCMOR-
ROW.
