The normal chemical process of charging and discharging forms a layer of hardened lead-sulfate crystals on the lead plates within the battery.

A regular battery charger can not transform these crystals to an active material because the crystals become too hard. Causes of sulfation:• Opportunity charging• Discharging too deeply• Charging the battery when there is more than 20% capacity remaining• Long period of inactivity• Not watering the battery properly• High temperatures• Using the wrong battery charger• Short periods of charging/interrupted charge cycles

The Xtender is a combination of multi machines and is designed to restore all types of lead-acid batteries commonly used in material handling, golf, telecommunications, UPS, utility and transportation industries. The Xtender is fully automatic with touchscreen programing, giving the user many advantages and requires less attention during the process.

Sulfation of lead-acid batteries is the main reason for capacity and efficiency loss, which is caused by accumulation of extremely hard lead sulfate crystals. The Xtender uses a high frequency pulsation process to break-down these crystals. The regeneration process consists of 5-6 cycles, starting with a controlled discharge, then 3 restoration cycles followed by another discharge, then a final restoration.

A reporting system is included, to provide details of each cycle in the regeneration process. Also, when using the Battery Monitoring System (BMS) the user has access to detailed reporting of individual batteries and cells. Software and firmware updates are included and accessible via

the Xtender website www.batteryrestoration.biz.

Demo Process

Rental & Lease Options Available

The training period takes approximately 2-4 hours and highlights how to operate and program the Xtender Battery Regenerator. Throughout this process your staff will also become familiar with advanced battery technologies, the battery regeneration process and the battery health analysis reports automatically generated by the Xtender. Our wireless Battery Monitoring System, and all necessary accessories are included at no additional charge. At the completion of the training period, the demonstration unit remains onsite to perform further regenerations. Throughout the training and demo period, the number of batteries regenerated could conceivably pay a good portion of the overall Xtender purchase investment.

FSIP offers a training and demonstration program either onsite or via a live web conference to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Xtender Battery Regenerator.

Municipal water often contains chlorine, and well water often contains battery harmful metallic impurities. Both of these can be major contributors to premature lead-acid battery failure. It is essential to eliminate these contaminants, and no longer necessary to purchase individual gallons of distilled water. Our water deionization system allows you to automatically purify and dispense water for all your battery refilling needs.

Bright green indicators show when water levels are good and red when water is needed, saving time and taking the guess work out of watering batteries. The monitors work on 6, 8 and 12 volt golf cart batteries, as well as 24, 36 and 48 volt industrial batteries.
