COMMUNITY AND CONSTRUCTION NEWS AUTUMN 2015 Battersea Exchange is the name for the development located on Patcham Terrace, it includes St Mary’s RC Primary School and the railway arches between Queenstown Road Station connecting through to Battersea Park Station. You will have seen plenty of activity over the summer at Battersea Exchange. Demolition on site is now nearing completion. During the construction works we will provide regular updates on our progress to keep you informed on our programme and all works taking place on site. This is the first of our quarterly newsletters which will be distributed to local residents surrounding the site. The developer, Taylor Wimpey Central London and its contractors Midgard, are committed to working with the community throughout the construction of the site. We would like to thank our neighbours for their patience and tolerance during the works that have already taken place. We will continue to make every effort to keep noise, dust and vibration to a minimum so as to reduce any undue impact on our neighbours. We are committed to working with the local community throughout the construction ofBatterseaExchange.

Our contractors, Midgard, are in regular contact with Newton Prep School and have beenworkingcloselywithSt.Mary’sRCPrimary School.

Taylor Wimpey Central London are pleased tobeapartoftheiconicNineElmsontheSouth Bank regeneration and want to make apositivecontributiontotheareawhileconstruction works are taking place.

We are working with the community in anumberofwaysincluding;supportingNewtonPrep’swalkingbusscheme,providinganewartificialplayingsurfaceforStMary’s,contributingtoStMary’sparticipationintheEveningStandard’s‘GetLondonReading’campaign,careerday visits and organising an educational visit to Powerday, a local recycling business,forpupils.

Worksbeganonsitelatelastyearandtheconstructionprocessisbeingapproachedinstages.ThefirststageoftheschemecomprisestwoapartmentblocksalongwiththenewStMary’sRoman Catholic Primary School.

To date the following works have been completed: • Piling for Blocks C, F and G• Concrete forming for Block F and Block C• Erection of three tower cranes• ConcretepouringoftheBlockGgroundfloor• Installation of precast columns for Block G • Concrete pours for various levels of Blocks C, F and G The on-going works include: • Demolition • Concrete forming for Core B of Block C • ConcretepouringforthegroundfloorofBlockF• Installation of steel framing for the new school• Installation of heating pipework• Installation of precast columns for Block C
