    Judo sports science support

What can the Judo players use?

    Physiotherapy injury treatment and prevention

Sport massage prevent muscle, ligament and tendon injurys

Sport medicine using medicine that has been subscribed by your physicist

    Sport science support injury recovery

Strength and conditioning get fit by working on weaker parts of your body

Sport nutrition keeping a balanced diet

Sport psychology helping with mental problems and stress and motivational aspects of the human mind.

Video & performance analysis assessing your recorded performance levels

Jrgen thoroughly explained the facilities and resources his athletes use and why it is important to use them in certaincircumstances.Listed below are some of the examples he gave that his athletes use:

The gym (for fitness and strength)

    Outdoor tracks (for fitness)

Physiotherapy (for injury prevention and treatment)

Sports psychology (for players getting depressed about their performance or way they have been playing)

All of the above have been proven to help performance levels and fitness levels, all of this is quite a modern thingreally, because nowadays athletes are told what to eat and what not to eat, theyre told they shouldnt drink alcohol orsmoke cigarettes etc., which is kind of taking away their freedom and humanity but thats what it takes to be a proathlete.Whereas in the 60s, 70s 80s and before their werent really any diets that athletes had to stick too, they could eat ordrink as much as they wanted whenever they wanted, and they had no specific schedule.Athletes of the modern era appear to be fitter and healthier than those of the 60s etc. but they also succumb to injurymore these days.So with the courses in place for the judo players that will prevent injuries and mental problems and keep them ontrack.

    Judo funding

What funding is available for elite athletes?Bath university and their judo playing team receive no money from the British judo association, the reason for this being that Bathuniversitys facilities are seen at a high enough standard to not receive funding simply because they do not need it.It would be un-neccesary to give the university money because theyd have nothing to use it on.

    Evaluation of badminton provision

Generally speaking Bath university provide the highest standard of facilities, coaches and servicesavailable, you could not fault them at all, all the players rare guaranteed to feel at home knowingthey can have as much help and use everything whenever they want rather than havingrestricted timetables .All of this benefits to the players mood(s) and the players mood(s) can deter whether a playerhas a good or bad performance. In my opinion this sector along with judo are the two most credible sectors of bath university andare by far the best the country has to offer.

To conclude I would like to say that Bath university have exceptional standards and compared toany other university they are the Boss .
